The Man From Taured Kindle Edition

3.8 out of 5 stars 58 ratings

A strange man walks up to the customs counter at O’Hare International Airport. He carries a passport, driver’s license, papers, all of it looking legit. There’s just one thing that causes the customs agent to raise the alarm – the passport and license are from a country that does not, and has never, existed.

That's the famous urban legend you may have heard before.

It was just the start of the story...

Then he vanishes.

Noble Randle, working for Homeland Security, is called in to investigate. The solution, he figures, has to be something simple. What he does not know is that his life is about to change, that he has a very unique ability, and that the fate of this universe and thousands of others rests in his hands.

The walls between dimensions and parallel universes are breaking down. Behind it is an evil as old as time itself. An evil that wants to devour every other universe and gain total control over everyone and everything.

The Man from Taured is a story that ranges from horror, to action, mystery and suspense. An epic tale that wonders: is there more to this world than we know? Are there other universes, other dimensions, right nearby? Perhaps as close as a breath away.

From suspense, horror and mystery writer Bryan W. Alaspa comes a tale that crosses generations, and dimensions. A story that will challenge your perception of reality itself, and keep you up late at night, afraid to answer the knock at the door.

A fantastic read! If you don't know the origins, Google away. Creepy and fantastic, and packed full of sci-if goodness!

This book would have been good except for the plot holes and word repetition. The author uses the same words and phrases so relentlessly that I finally lost interest a little over halfway through.

I bought the book thinking it would explain the history (or perhaps legend) of the man from Taured who showed up at Tokyo airport customs in 1954. This book is not that! It's a fictionalization that uses the basic story of the man from Taured, but relocates it to Chicago in 2014 and then makes up a plot from there. So that was disappointing.

As for the book itself, it's not a genre I particularly care for (supernatural/horror), but it's well-written, and did keep me engrossed enough to finish reading it. But it wasn't what I was hoping for.

This was an interesting story. I’ve always been fascinated by the Man from Taured. Most of the book wasn’t about that, per say, but expanded on the idea of the multiverse. It was disturbing at times, but overall a good book if you like science fiction.

Just FYI, “The Void” is like a demonic type presence, so if that stuff makes you uneasy, I’d pass this book up. It has bad language in it at times but it usually doesn’t last long. Parts of it creeped me out. There were some weird sexual parts....there was also parts where children are harmed. So, definitely a book for mature readers. I feel like I was kinda too sensitive for it but the story line kept me going. The narrator got on my nerves too. Especially the way she pronounced “forehead” lol

Both my kids loved this book. It’s an unusual story and really captured their imagination. It sparked a lot of family conversations.

1.0 out of 5 stars Probably the worst book I have ever read
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 12, 2019
I was looking forward to reading this book based on the 'Man from Taured' urban legend. Although it started off well, it quickly deteriorated. It was so full of mistakes, I thought it had been badly translated to English from another language, but it wasn't. It was just riddled with jibberish.
The story descended into nonsense and I struggled to finish it.
    Very disappointing.
