Florist Terri Martin is headed straight for spinsterhood if she can’t find a date for her upcoming 30th birthday party. With the hours ticking by, she makes one last-ditch attempt to hire a bad boy from Bad Boys for Hire. But fate has another surprise in store when she meets Ryker Slade—a ruggedly sexy biker with a haunted past.
Sparks instantly ignite between them, and for the first time, Terri understands passion. But while their relationship deepens, so too do the lethal secrets between their families. Terri is utterly unprepared to learn that her greatest love may also become her ultimate heartbreak.
Because his father leads the rival motorcycle club that crippled hers, Ryker represents everything she’s been taught to hate. Yet she finds herself repeatedly torn between loyalty to her parents and an unquenchable need for his touch. Is she foolish to keep loving a man she can never have?
With danger at every turn, Terri must confront the violent legacy of vengeance between their families and the very real possibility of losing Ryker forever. Will forbidden love defeat lifelong hate? Or will she fail to recognize the deadliest of traps before it’s too late?

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Story
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAll Terri wants is a date for her 30th birthday party, but before she can hire someone, she meets Ryker. I could not put this story away. So much action and romance it's like a buffet and you can't wait for the dessert! There are enough twists to keep you wondering and on the edge of your seat. Rachelle Ayala does not disappoint. I love her writing and her characters are strong whether they are men or women. I've already purchased the next book in this series.

4.0 out of 5 stars More of 3.5 stars with a thoughtful message
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis audio was a bit different from my usual reading/listening. I don’t like MC stories and this one is definitely that genre.
That said, I have to confess it was engaging.
When Ryder, an unemployed Marine, and Terri, a flower shop owner, meet by chance, they don’t realize that they in fact met when they were children. A meeting that affected not only them, but also both their families. Families that were very much part of the motorcycle clubs and at times dangerously so.
Their story was at times farfetched, with a modern twist to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet story, but that didn’t stop me from listening to it , specially when the story took so many detours.
At times funny, at others touching , it also brought up a very real social issue. When the brave men and women who serve our country come back home, we, as a society are not doing enough to help them integrate back to civil life. Unemployment and sadly, suicide is high for this group. The least we can do as individuals and as a country, is give them a hand . Kudos to the author for that reminder.
For that, the story gets a 4 star rating.

3.0 out of 5 stars Alright
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was rather short. I feel like some things were eliminated. Good storyline. Way to much Romeo and Juliet stuff. I did find the book entertaining. I just didn't think it was anything more than average. The characters were ok. But I never really invested in them. I didn't want anything bad to happen to them but at The same time, I didn't care if it did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Terri and Ryker
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA fued that started when they were kids is threatening their lives and their love. They try to set something up but things start folding in on them.
As usual Rachelle Ayala weaves a very intense story. It is very hard to put down.
