This dark story of mental illness, was dark and sometimes troubling. However I do remember the the news accounts of horrible things the author lightly touched on. The author Katie Wyatt, brought out the corruption and power of some employees in the institutions. Even though it's a bit dark, it is still a story of a mail order bride, Sylvia, who meets her husband, a doctor in an institution. What she begins to realize is there is corruptions. You see the strength of Sylvia and I was amazed. Point of story for me was: sometimes, we need to go through the dark to get to the long lost dreams we had. Good story, but I for one was glad, I didn't read it on a dark and stormy night.

I was very amazed by the treatment these poor people were enduring in the so called mental hospital. This story even though was a beautiful love story which I enjoyed very much.

It was a story about the suffering of these patients and even some of the staff due to a warped individual, Sylvia was a very strong dedicated woman who risked her life to be sure the truth was found.

I recommend this story to all who want to see truth and justice prevail along with love, kindness, and friendships. Katie Wyatt did a fabulous job writing this story!
