'His lips met mine again, this time in a slow, soft caress, conveying everything he had just said in those beautiful words that had reached my very soul. I could have drowned in that kiss. I could have lived there for eternity. It filled me up with everything I needed to survive. He gave me life through his lips and I treasured it.'

Recovering from recent losses, Lucinda finds herself in a Dark place.

She starts to doubt who she has become.

She seeks reassurance, that despite the Prophesy and what that has meant for her life, she is still remaining true to herself.

The American Families of Vampires close in on Lucinda and her kindred. There is one who insists Lucinda is his and none others.

He has not forgotten her and will do anything, anything at all to make her his.

Loyalties are tested and fall short, and Lucinda must find the strength to fight for something she cannot even remember.

But that is not all Lucinda must battle.

The Queen of Darkness appears in amongst the mayhem to exact her plans for Dark's success and the final confrontation of Light and Dark comes to a head.

Without the steadfast support and love of her kindred, Lucinda would not be able to face what is to come, but still, she holds something of herself back.

Will she never give herself completely to Michel? And if she does, will it be enough to save her? And enough to save the Light from the Dark once and for all?

About the Author

Nicola Claire lives in beautiful Taupo, New Zealand with her husband and two young boys. She's tried her hand at being a paramedic, bank teller and medical sales representative, (not all necessarily in that order), but her love of writing keeps calling her back. She has a passion for all things supernatural, spiced up with a good dollop of romance - as long as they include strong characters, alpha males and capable females, and worlds which although make-believe are really quite believable in the end. There's nothing better than getting caught up in a compelling, intriguing and romantic book. When she's not writing or reading, she's out on her family boat at Lake Taupo, teaching her young boys to fish, showing them the beauty that surrounds them in nature and catching some delicious trout for dinner. Kindred has been a joy to write, creating a rich world with dynamic characters and paranormal twists that shock and awe has been pure bliss for this author. And just as well, because there's a lot more story yet to tell...

A bit of a romance junkie, Nicola can be known to devour as many as half a dozen books a week if she drinks too much coffee. But her real passion is writing thrilling romantic suspense stories with strong female leads and alpha male protagonists who know how to love them.

So far, she’s written well over 70 books. She might have caught the writing bug; here’s hoping there’s no cure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great installment! Nicola has stolen my heart

Another great installment! Nicola has stolen my heart. I absolutely love her writing and creativity. She dives into the world of Lucinda, Michel and the gang. There was so much action pack as soon as I started reading.

We jump into the world of Lucinda, which is never a dull moment. We get to see what happens to her when she is with the American Vampire Jonathan. And how it affects her and Michel physical and mentally as being bonded. Just being away for so long affects them both to the point where they physically cant even defend their selves. And even with the lost of memory, that does not keep there love from each other. It seems like in this installment, they are more on one accord with one another. They seem to really genuine love, cherish and support each other.

Lucinda is really struggling with who she has become and really need some advice from the one person that has love her all of her life. It was very interesting meeting her parents and them meeting Michel. I can image how it must have felt to have to introduce someone to your parents the way she did and they knew nothing about him. But it was a well-needed trip for Lucinda.

I really enjoyed how Michel is really trying to give Lucinda space to deal with everything. He is also trying to support her in doing her job and not interfering on the hunt. Loyalties are tested and we see some betrayal that you would have never guessed. That betrayal really shocked me. But when you look at some of the signs, now you see how Jonathan was able to do what he did.

Also Gregor and Anise is going to be an interesting story line. I would love to see what happens in that combining. Hopefully we get more insight on that in these installments.

Well I’m on to the next!

    Until Next Time, Happy Reading!

I really love this series, it's never gets boring! Always comes with a twist and the plots are brilliant. It just getting harder for both Michel& Luce, they growing on me, but sometimes I want to scream myself to Luce, use ur light use ur light.....But she is not listening. Very stubborn and I am sad that she waited this long to mark Michel, but all for a price. I guess happiness will not be long between both of them. Something is coming I am sure of it. As always great to read Michel POV
It would be great to get his own part in those books, it would be brilliant, even more better lol
Amelia Hutchins in the Fae chronicles done this and its fantastic to read both sides in one book ;)
Well I definitely want to find out more what happened after Michel sentence: Oh no. This was not going to be good. “Lucinda. Would you kindly tell me what the hell it is you have been doing?” Oh no. Not good at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the series!

I got the first book of this series because it was free. I have purchased the rest as they are all wonderful and carry on immediately from the previous book. Yes, there is some repetition summarising what has happened so far but only in the 2nd book is it truly obvious and annoying. Either the author puts less and less in as the books go on or she got better and spreading it out so it doesn't feel so in your face.

The story is not only about vampires (nosferatu), vampire hunters (nosferatin) and their intricate relationship but a book about self-discovery, love, conflict and more.

The books are beautifully written (even though there are some minor spelling errors and misuse of they're, there, their type words), easy to read and difficult to put down.

This book was better than the last. Relationships grow as well as the characters. Luce finally becomes sure of who she is which is great because I was tired of her being so wishy washy. I WAS excited to read the next book but not anymore. In the review section there are serious spoilers with no "spoiler alert" notices. I would like to point out that this box is for reviews not COMMENTS.

HOPEFULLY I will forget the spoilers with time and be able to continue the series. **DO NOT READ THE REVIEWS FOR THE 5th OR 6th BOOK. THEY INCLUDE SPOILERS!!!
