    It was a pleasure to read the second instalment of the relationship between Dr. Anna Cassidy and Inspector Andrew Kelly. This book was well written and thoughtfully plotted. I look forward to reading the 3rd book!

    Because you'll be holding it for most of this book. Exciting and worthy sequel to Fearless, following the two protagonists to foggy old London Town, where secrets and sinners comfortably coexist. Once again very well written and no substantial complaints about editing (a handful of typos that, whilst annoying, don't really detract from the action). The characters are thrust into the seedy underbelly of this ancient city and manage to continue to get out of close shaves and scary scrapes, all beautifully painted in Gothic colours. Interesting relationship developments do not detract from their nicely drawn period personalities. Once again, great era appropriate references to forensics, and detailed descriptions that are not for the faint hearted. Another surprise ending - kudos! Well done, thoroughly recommended gothic mystery.

    Anna Cassidy held in her hand a Diploma for a certifying her as a real doctor. She and her cousin had come to London so she could achieve a life long wish. Her cousin did not show up for the graduation ceramony and Anna could not understand why. She returned to their boarding house and found out her cousin had left the house dressed for the outing in plenty of time. Read this tale of murder and intrigued and follow Anna's search and the murders and mishaps that happen to her while trying to find her cousin. Mystery and mishaps are many.
