5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Gem
Verified PurchaseBearing in mind the preamble to the Constitution of UNESCO which declares that "since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed", it is vital that we remember the human costs of warfare and find a better way to resolve conflicts. This little gem of a book, with its varied and deeply personal accounts of the effects of war, helps us to do that.
