H.D. Thomson moved from Ontario, Canada as a teenager to the heat of Arizona where she graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in accounting. After working in the corporate world as an accountant, H.D. changed her focus to one of her passions-books. She owned and operated an online bookstore for several years and then started the company, Bella Media Management. The company specializes in web sites, video trailers, ebook conversion and promotional resources for authors and small businesses. When she is not heading her company, she is following her first love-writing.

    What an amazing book. The tension kept building, daring the reader to breath, wondering anxiously what it is about Jake that is so horrifying that the reader is constantly guessing. I was so engrossed that I had to buy the next book to read about John. This series is definitely worthy of film.

    Margot is depressed and starts drinking heavily. She lost her brother in a car accident and she having a hard time getting over that. She gets a knock on her door and standing out in the cold is Jake. John told him if he needed help come find her and tell her he was Johns friend. Well she lets him stay. (Know way a stranger would come in my house.) So Jake seem to be gone all day and then appear at night . He looked different but she still thought he was a good looking fellow. Her ex husband comes back around and he being pushy and when he finds out Jake there he starts to snoop around. Things start getting interesting . The passion shown between Jake and Margot I loved. Cant wait to read the next book

    What a good first read by new to me author Thomson. This book has it all, mystery, suspense, murder, plot twists, a bit of paranormal, a psychopathic ex and a tortured H/h. Divorced Margot has lost everything including her beloved brother in a suspicious car accident. As she descends deeper into her wine bottle mysterious Jake knocks on her door. This is a well written book, fast paced with a smooth flow that I stayed up far too late to finish! Jake was a great hero with all his surprises and poor Margot dealing with her ex Malcolm - whew! Highly recommend.

Margot has suffered a blow with was the death of her brother, and before that it wasn't all great either, but then Jake showed up. Jake has an issue of his own, and I don't want to spoil a thing. I'll just say that this plot is incredible and unpredictable and I highly recommend it. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

    This book is extremely readable. Lots of good twisty turns and a good romance. Margot has just gone through a divorce when she looses her brother Johnny, so she heads home to Arizona. Jake is in trouble and the only answer to his problems lie in Arizona with Margot. He shows up at her door and tells her that John sent him. She lets him in and lets him stay with her. (I found that kind of strange) Oh and then her ex-husband shows up. It just keeps on getting better and better. I recieved this ARC from Hidden Gems for an honest review.
