5.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed reading this
Verified PurchaseThere is but one individual whose name has been synonymous with marketing for the last forty years, and that is Philip Kotler. Now he has written his story in My Adventures in Marketing. I enjoyed reading this, his autobiography, immensely. It not only shows the development of THE marketing genius of modern times, but shines through with his humanity, integrity, and hard work in mastering this important discipline. Further, Kotler has left little out in showing the development of marketing since the distinction was made that marketing and selling were not the same. But Kotler has included much more, including marketing of other than products and services, not only for nonprofits, but for causes, politics, and more. Names, places, and color photos are all included. You cannot afford NOT to read this book and to miss this most worthy volume which relates Kotler’s personal history in what another genius, Peter Drucker, wrote was one of the two basic functions of any business. Kotler demonstrates that in many ways, marketing is even more. This book is highly recommended.

Verified PurchaseDr Kotler is deservedly called the father of modern marketing. What he has accomplished in his career is amazing, and this book reminds us the importance and purpose of marketing. I have had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with The Professor and I can say that he is truly an amazing and thought provoking person along with being genuine and generous. 2.0 out of 5 stars Kindle book but not compatible with my kindle?
Verified PurchaseA shame because I really like Philip Kotler it wasn't compatible with my kindle? And the pages were too big on my phone so I am reading it on my computer. His words are fine though!
