Strange Cosmology: Small Worlds Book 2 Kindle Edition

4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars 103 ratings

The end of the world is still inevitable. There are just a few things in the way.

After defeating Enki, Ryan thought life was going to get easier. All he had to do was plan the Apocalypse. How hard could that be? Unfortunately, no one wants to give him time to plan. Moloch has formed a cult to further his dark designs, the entire Olympian pantheon has gone missing, mythological monsters have appeared across Earth, and he has no idea what Bast is up to.

To make matters worse, Admiral Dale Bridges and Project Myrmidon have no intention of sitting out the oncoming end times, and they have a few surprises waiting for Ryan and his allies. Surprises like home-made gods out of Ryan’s blood. Ryan, Crystal, and Athena find themselves stuck in a maelstrom of shifting alliances and divine dealings as they seek new support and face new threats.

Can they survive their growing number of threats, or are they going to be buried beneath them?

Alex Raizman has been a fantasy, science fiction, and horror fan since elementary school. He calls Stein, Tolkien, and Bradbury his "gateway drugs". A voracious reader, he always planned to write a book "someday".

Being diagnosed with cancer in 2015 inspired him to stop thinking about "someday" and start doing things now. So with the same attitude that once prompted him to tackle a speech impediment by joining his school's competitive debate team, he decided to get serious about writing.

Three years later, Alex is cancer free and thrilled to have published multiple books in LitRPG, Urban Fantasy, and Epic Fantasy.

Alex lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with Loki, the world's coolest cat.

I've recommended this book series to a lot of people. I bought it a while ago and am so glad I did. It has been a great read and I just want more. I love how everything is fleshed out, it was great to read on reddit but the book was so much better

After reading the first book in the series as it was written on Reddit, I was excited when Alex announced the second book was going to be published! I thoroughly enjoyed both this and the first book, and can't wait to see where the series goes!
The lore and mythology surrounding the characters is amazing, and how he accounts for the gods whereabouts after they fade from popularity is a stroke of genius.
A series I can happily keep re-reading before the next installment drops, I'll continue to follow these books and the author!

Though it does need a little more editing, this is an incredibly well written story and kept me on the edge of my seat. Could not put this down and read the entire book in just a couple days (this is not a testament to its length, but rather to the hold it had on my life during that time).

I’ve been following Alex from the very first rough draft of this series, and I’ve been hooked ever since. This is a fantastic book that I couldn’t put down despite knowing the end result.

Action packed, twists and turns with plenty of connecting scenes and dialogue to really immerse yourself in the universe. Definitely worthwhile picking up and reading!
