What began as a quiet afternoon in an antique shop with my four-year-old niece and nephew soon turned into an unforgettable story adventure on an old oak bench. Their tiny, tired feet needed a break, but their curious minds wanted a journey! So, right there, I began spinning tales that brought the magic of storytelling to life. Watching their faces light up with every twist and turn was pure joy, and I knew I had to capture those moments in books for other children and families.
When I got home, I started writing with purpose. I created each story for a special little one in my life—first "Die Avonture van Rosie" for Scarlett, then "Drikus die Drakie" for Aiden. My husband and I found a wonderful illustrator who brought my words to life with the most vibrant, enchanting scenes. Together, we brought "Knuffeltyd" (CUDDLE TIME) to life, a collection of picture books meant to create lasting memories.
My stories are designed for those precious moments of connection, whether it's a parent and child, aunt and niece, or any loved ones enjoying the simple joy of reading together.
