    This is the first book from a new series by Nicola Claire. If you've ever read the author's books, you know how she likes to put twists and turns into every chapter, but goodness, it's all so worth it. There were only like two or three places where the book needed grammatical/spelling editing.

    I really enjoyed this first book with Rafael and Cat. The storyline is an interesting one. You have witches, vampires, wolves, and who knows what else will pop up later.

    Cat made decisions that were based on her emotions, which I didn't really like, since I believe a person should never make decisions based on emotions but instead use facts, take time to think the decision over and plan accordingly. Lucky for Cat, she's dedicated and loyal, which makes her likable.

    The way the author wrote the storyline made it a page turner. That ending was pretty nerve-wracking. Now I'm excited for the next book. The bad part would be the wait.
