Her lifelong goals are to think before she speaks, smile more and swear less, and actually weigh what her driver's license states she does.

    WOW she has done it again! This is the second book that I have read by Jodi Watters and I have already ordered the next one. Still cannot figure out why she isn't a best selling author. Loved the plot the strong character development and of course the humour. Liv and Ash both have to forgive each other and come back back together but before they do get out the kleenex! You won't want to miss this book as it will keep you turning the pages and ignoring everything else that should be done.

    Holy wow!
    I loved Jodi Watters past two novels but neither of them compare to the love I have for this book!

    There is so much emotion on every page. Laughter, tears and tension. This book has everything.

    Olivia and Asher each hold their own, however I have to give the author so much credit for giving us a hero who is simply fighting to get his wife back. There was such vulnerability in Asher and yet he was written with such strength. I loved him!!

    I don't want to do too much of a plot summary, but the story is about a husband and a wife who suffer a tragedy and lose their way from each other. It is a story of heartache and forgiveness. So touching and gut wrenching and yet never bleak.

    As with her other books, there is a thread of humour and the interactions with other characters are spot on and so enjoyable but they remain in the background, never overshadowing the main characters and their way back to each other.

    This is a must read book and I can not wait to read more from Jodi Watters.

    Is anything more sexy than a man who loves his wife? After reading True to You, I would be hard pressed to say no. For Asher and Olivia, it is love at first sight. Not in the puppy-love, high school sweetheart way but a passion-filled forever kind of love. Unfortunately, that love may not be enough withstand a devastating tragedy. They spend four years attempting to recover and live their lives, apart. Asher is unable to move forward without the love of his life. This man is so in love with his wife, he keeps their home exactly the way it was when she walked out. Olivia, wrapping a heated blanket of anger and hatred around herself like a suit of armor goes through the motions. The time and distance only reinforce her feelings of abandonment and betrayal. Both of them waiting for something to happen that will either restore their marriage or enable them to just move beyond the pain and end it. Despite everything, they still love each other enough to stay true to their wedding vows. There is passion, humor, heartbreak, forgiveness and restoration in this love story.

    I love how Jodi Watters told their story. The flow of the plot was solid even with flashbacks placed intermittently between the present day storyline. I find that most authors are not able to successfully pull this off without confusing the reader. She pulled it off perfectly. They really enhanced the way the story developed for me. The characters had strong chemistry with each other as well as the supporting cast. The romance was steamy and sexy without being overly graphic. I loved that the sex was not forced into the story but moved the plot forward. Overall, everything I want in in a romance.

    I would highly recommend True to You by Jodi Watters. This was the first book that I have read by this author but I will definitely be reading her other works.

    Military guys - where would we be without them! Coming from a military family I could relate to some of the closed off behaviour.
    This is a tale of love and loss, loathing and hurt and broken beyond measures, and somehow just carrying on. It is a heart breaking story of Ash and Liv, a happy life denied by tragedy and downright stubbornness.
    A manipulative father wreaks havoc on his son and daughter and it seems everyone else around him. Ash could learn a few lessons on effective communication and how not to put your girl through hell, but it makes a humdinger of a story. True to You tugs at the heartstrings and tells a wonderful love story.

    So...I read the blurb to this book & I thought to myself...yeah I will give it a go...sounds like a pretty good tale. Oh my God...I am totally floored! From page 1 I was captured and enthralled by Jodi's 3rd book in her A Love Happens series. These books are standalones and as I have not read books 1&2 I can safely say that you do not need to have read the previous 2 books to really enjoy this one....however I can guarantee you that once you've read this you WILL go back & read the others. This book has whet my appetite for Jodi Watters & I cannot wait to get into those published previously.
    True to You is a most wonderfully crafted story. It brings us into the lives of Asher & Olivia Coleson, a retired special ops agent & an executive manager for Asher's father's vineyard. The way that Jodi has so beautifully & intricately woven their heartbreak & passion into such a believable & entertaining piece of prose has truly been exceptional.
    They say that there is a fine line between love & hate....well Liv & Ash certainly stretch this line to almost non-existence & even though this was a story filled with so much pain & hurt & sadness, it was also one of the most
    uplifting & amusing books I've read.
    This book earns a huge 5⛤ rating from me...just so so good!

    Definitely 4.5/5. I have looked forward to Asher's story, and I was not disappointed. Ash and Olivia's story is one of family dysfunction and immense grief. Well edited.

    We met Asher in the two previous novels, as he is one of the partners in Scorpio Securities and Hope's brother. We got a mention here and there of Olivia. In a surprise to most, Asher and Olivia were married six years before the events in this book. What happened to tear this couple apart, and why has Ash kept his wife a secret?

    In this one, we find out a bit more about the deep rift between Asher and his father. Unfortunately, Marshall sees Olivia as a potential weapon in his battle with his son. On one Asher's trips home to check on Hope, he meets Olivia and finds love at first sight is a thing. Within short order, Asher and Olivia marry, and about a year later, Olivia is pregnant with their first child. Asher is still in the military, and is gone and often uncommunicative for long periods of time. This is difficult for Olivia, especially the further into her pregnancy she goes. Tragedy strikes, and Asher is half a world away. By the time he gets home, Olivia is so distraught that she lashes out at Asher. Things are said, she walks out, and numbness and pain settle between them. Four years later, Asher and Olivia are both living in a pain filled limbo. Can they find a way through the pain and back to love? Will Marshall continue to interfere? Will Olivia ever forgive Asher for not being home when she needed him most? Will Asher trust her not to walk away again when things get hard?

    This was a really emotional story of two people dealing with immense grief. Grief is such a tricky thing. Everyone processes it differently. Unfortunately, even the people suffering have expectations of how someone suffering the same loss should behave. In many ways, it is understandable, and part of the process. In others, it is as deeply unfair as it is for someone on the outside to say how any one person should process loss. Fortunately for this story, Asher and Olivia have a tenuous hold on each other through the darkest times, until they can finally communicate and begin to heal together. Very moving story. Enjoy.
