Magical Whispers: Poetry (English Edition) Format Kindle

4,9 4,9 sur 5 étoiles 19 évaluations

I wait for whispers; they regale my muse. Whispers that can be heard by our heart, whispers that ride on the breeze to dispel darkness and ignite hope. I’m sure you would hear them through these poems if you read slowly.
‘Magical Whispers’ would transport you to an island of serenity; beseech you to tread softly on the velvety carpet of nature to feel the ethereal beauty around you. The jigsaw of life would melt and merge as you dive into the warmth of words.

In this book, my poems focus on the whispers of Mother Nature, whispers that are subtle but speak louder than words and breathe a quiet message.
Each day reminds us
It’s the symphony of surroundings
That whispers life into us.

    5,0 sur 5 étoiles A mesmerizing read!
Avis laissé en Inde le 7 octobre 2023
‘Magical Whispers’ by poet Balroop Singh was an enchanting and calming read. Balroop Singh’s poetry always manages to make me reflective about my past. Any poetry book that makes me reflect on my past, especially about the people I have loved and are now estranged from my immediate circle is a winner for me. I am a romantic at heart and Balroop’s sentimental and heart-searching words always manages to stir feelings in me which I thought I had buried under the soil of my pain and anguish. ‘Magical Whispers’ reminded me of so many happy moments in my past that it rejuvenated my spirit and I think it will also have the same effect on any reader of this genre.
Through the many whispers of Mother Nature in the forests of childhood, in the hills trekked with friends of our youth, in the shade of a moonbeam with our soulmate and on the banks of mysterious lakes in adulthood, Balroop Singh takes the poetry lover back in time and forward; back into a world we carry with us wherever we go and forward to a destiny where everything is redeemed through a single whisper of validation from the mouth of one we love and adore. The poems in this collection are magical, enthralling, invigorating, and enlightening. Those who love Mother Nature and her many groves, will find this collection a treat to the senses and a keepsake for every walk into a nearby wood, jungle, or forested glade.
Those who want to remember the fond lover of their past or present can meet them again and hear their whispers in Balroop Singh’s emotive collection. I met mine in the poems ‘Dreamland Purple’, ‘Watch Them’, ‘Love is Love’, ‘The Key’ and ‘Shimmer’; I think you will too! Balroop Singh’s words will make you cry but will always lead you to a space where you can gain whispers or words of hope and salvation, depending on where in life you are coming from and where you have to go. Her love poetry hits you in the gut and her beautiful words echo in one’s ears long after the book is closed, and reality has drifted callously in again. For estranged true lovers or those who have lost their lovers forever in this life, this sentimental poetry collection will act as a healing balm to your open wounds. Some readers who like me don’t speed read their poetry, will actually see their paramour again and it will be a happy meeting in the lap of nature created by the scintillating and tender words of Singh, the master of our broken hearts!
A poetry lover will find ‘Magical Whispers’ to be healing and refreshing. There is a sense of contentment and salvation imminent in poems which will lead the reader to forgive the past and to embrace whatever the future holds. Those who are concerned about the way Mother Nature is being used and abused currently will find a sort of ‘twist in the tale’ in the latter part of the collection which will astound you and make you grip the Kindle tightly as you read on. One cannot simply ‘read through’ phenomenal and mystical poetry like Singh’s; one needs to savour the poems and let it seep into your very bones, making each of them your own. Those looking for some well written and other-worldly nature poetry can look no further than ‘Magical Whispers’ by mesmerizing Balroop Singh. Those who love the era of ‘Romantic Poetry’ of the likes of Wordsworth, Shelly, and Coleridge and yet with a contemporary vocabulary which is more edifying than ‘mystifying’ can trust ‘Magical Whispers’ and get their copy immediately! And those like me who were already great fans of Balroop Singh’s poetry and want to get to know her more as a person must also pick up this volume and read on cheerfully.
One cannot go wrong when one chooses Balroop Singh! I’m glad I picked this poetry collection and I hope to read some of these poems over and over again as the months go by. My favourite nature element mentioned in this enticing collection is obviously the moon with its lily like beams, shining over the verdant valleys of mother nature as she gazes forever at her Endymion. I loved the poems about summer like ‘Muted By Time’ and ‘She Watched’ as I remembered those fantastic summer holidays spent with my childhood friends in my then empty school (we could do so as our mothers or fathers were school teachers) playing never ending games of cricket, reading Enid Blyton books in the library, swinging all day on the many playground swings, playing hide and seek and climbing the school trees like restless monkeys and getting stung by bees for all the effort! My favourite poem in this collection is definitely ‘Stay Away’, because it tells me where I am currently and the objective I have in mind to complete before I leave this earth. No spoilers from me, get your own copy of ‘Magical Whispers’ by Balroop Singh and relive the magic through whispers that speak louder than politicians, extremists, terrorists, dictators, mobsters, billionaires, and religious leaders. Because this poetry book whispers about nature, love and memories which can never go stale in a heart that aches for something greater than electoral ballots, synods galore and never-ending fake news.
Trust Balroop Singh! You’ll never regret this one!
Balroop Singh obviously gets 5 stars from me! Well done! Looking forward to reading more of Singh’s poetry collections in the coming days.

Magical Whispers draws you in. The words evoke longing, beauty, mystery, and hope. Also, there are stark reminders to care for our earth and beware of harming Mother Nature.

Ms Singh has a way with words, and so her poetry touches your heart. Here are a few examples:

‘Each day reminds us It’s the symphony of surroundings That whispers life into us.’
‘The orchestra of wind whispers An air of musical mirth.’
‘We struggle out of the mist Trying to kiss the streaks Of light from the stars.’

I was surprised and delighted with this collection of poetry. It was a rare pleasure to read Magical Whispers.

5,0 sur 5 étoiles Balroop Singh's poetry excites, lulls and opens our hearts!
Avis laissé au Canada le 5 novembre 2020
Author Balroop Singh has once again, created a lovely book of poetry for the home library. Each poem a balm to the soul and an inspiration to get out and appreciate nature.

Magical Whispers is set up in two parts. The first half are poems all about nature and the second half of the book are poems that relate to various topics including difficult relationships. That said, Balroop's poetry doesn't direct you to a single meaning.

What I love about Ms. Singh's poetry is that she excites, lulls and opens our hearts. While some poems are quite dense and require a re-read and contemplation, others are simpler and right to the emotions of our soul. There is a wonderful balance of challenge and simplicity in her verse.

I highly recommend Magical Whispers whether you are new to poetry or a seasoned reader. Enjoy!

    5,0 sur 5 étoiles Mesmerizing!
Avis laissé aux États-Unis le 25 octobre 2020
This beautiful collection of poems focuses mostly on elements of nature, offering stunning verses that speak to heart. The author uses words like a paintbrush, conjuring images that seep with tranquility, ebbing like a gentle tide into the spirit and mind. Spend time with each exquisite verse. These are poems to absorb and savor. Poetry is personal and touches each in a different manner. Verses resonate differently with each individual, but I have no doubt there is something mesmerizing for each in this collection that varies in tone from serene, to mystical, to thoroughly enchanting. Those that particularly resonated with me included Life is much More, Magic, A Concert, and A Moon Fairy (among others). I am frequently in awe of this poet’s skill with weaving words on a loom. If you love words…if you love deftly layered verse, this collection is not to be missed.

5,0 sur 5 étoiles Magical poetry - a great collection.

“I’ve never believed in magic, but I look for it everywhere.”

This line from one of the poems in the collection sums it all up for me. Balroops words capture so much emotion and so many experience, and paint a world that isn’t always magical, but always feels vibrant and rich through her words.
This is the third collection of Balroop’s that I have read and they are always immersive and enchanting. One of my favourite poets.
