    Life in Metaphors is a compelling read for any aspiring film maker.

    The book delves deep into the mind of film making genius Girish Kasaravalli, 14 time National Award winner, the finest Indian film maker of our generation. His films such as Ghatashraddha, Dweepa, Thaayi Saheba, Hasina, Gulabi Talkies have not just won several National Awards but also are amongst the best films made in the history of world cinema.

    The book has write ups from Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Deepti Naval, Shyam Benegal, UR Ananthamurthy, OP Srivastava amongst others. The book is a treasure of knowledge for anyone wanting to learn the art of filmmaking through film making techniques of Girish Kasaravalli.

    Kudos to writer OP Srivastava - Banker turned Film maker (National Award Winner 2016) for writing this book and giving us an opportunity to learn film making from the living legend, Girish Kasaravalli.

    A brilliant read .....
    I just loved the way investment banker turned filmmaker- OP Srivastava has treated the subject. It's not easy to capture the life of a doyen like Girish Kasaravalli but Srivastav does a fantastic job. The book in an anthology of views shared by leading lights of the Indian film industry. I am no way connected with film-making but enjoyed reading it. Got a very different perspective ...

    For some one not connected with film making, this book is an eye opener. It is a mine of new information nit only for me but for every one. It's style is lucid and interesting. I loved. Thank you OPS for providing me an opportunity to read this book.
