    When Ben and Brittney help out at the Christmas Tree Farm who knew things would go so sideways! This was a delightful Christmas adventure, on the spicy side, so maybe not for the younger crowd. I had a laugh out loud ball reading this book. Rachelle Ayala is a wonderful writer with an outrageously fun imagination! Santa's Pet definitely proves that to be true.
    I have been reading several of Ms Ayala's books after getting hooked in December. While most of her books are set in series, they could be read alone. I have been all over the place reading from several different series and rarely in any kind of order. One of the things I love is the way her characters can be found in several books as minor characters. This gives her stories a small town, family feel to them. When I come across someone I know from another book, I always feel as though I just ran into an old friend or cousin I haven't seen in awhile. Her stories are very well written. She does her homework with serious topics, has fun with lighter fare and certainly knows how to heat up a chilly day with her spicier romances. I have been consistently entertained with her books. I would recommend this book to mature readers due to the heat level.

    Gripping fun, heart-melting and also sexy. This isn't the usual fluffy Xmas story, it is so much more and well worth a read. With great characters in Ben and Brittany and all their flaws, a well thought out plot... It's a gripping read that draws out many emotions including making me laugh as I found some places quite witty. It all ties up so well at the end.

    Santa’s Pet by Rachelle Ayala is a magnificently breathtaking story of realizing that no one is perfect but that we are all deserving of pure, unconditional love. No matter what haunts or mares our past, we can be sure that each and every one of us deserves to be seen for who we are and not for what we have done. No one is born perfect, and so we can’t in good conscience expect others to live a life free of blemishes. There are too many double standards that cloud the view of what our society expects from men and women, and those dark standards are constantly becoming even murkier as the years tick by. This is a very sad testament as to the fact that each generation devalues the power and influence of love while they push the boundaries of taking more than they give in return. I hope for all our sakes that we can learn from these heartbreaking mistakes and come to cherish and value each other as we all deserve and need.

    Brittany is convinced that everyone sees and expects her to be the perfect daughter since she has always been compared to her naughtier and more devilish older sister Lacy. To that end, she simply can’t accept that she has vulnerabilities and weaknesses just like everyone else. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t fight the need of more and the loneliness that invades her heart from time to time. When her life turns out not to be as perfect as she would like, she tries to bury it and move on. Only secrets have a way of becoming unburied at the worst times. When Ben Power enters her life and turns her heart inside out with this charm and vulnerabilities, she is helpless to avoid the pull she feels toward him. Will Brittany’s past tear their happiness to shreds and jeopardize any future happiness, or will Ben’s own past destroy what could be before it even begins?

    Ben and Brittany are such a beautiful paring of characters that complement each other so wonderfully that it’s no wonder that the disappointments from their past leave such a painful, sour after taste. What they could have is so beautiful and powerful that they have to decide if they are ready to risk their heart for it. Giving up that much control and allowing another that much power over you is absolutely terrifying and tremendously exposed that some people just can’t live with the damage if it doesn’t work out. However, allowing for the possibility of the pain is so worth the pleasure and the fulfillment when things do work out. There are no words for what the power of love can do to transform a person’s heart and life. It’s a tremendously wonderful gift that doesn’t come close to anything else.

    I never fail to be wonderfully surprised and delightfully enchanted by each and every story written by Rachelle Ayala. She pours such genuine heart and emotion carefully into each incredible masterpiece that she creates. Nothing is thrown haphazardly together, but instead it is brought to life by deliberate, meaningful strokes of love and passion. Her devotion to her writing is truly remarkable and unbelievably inspiring.

    I loved this story! This isn't a bunch of fluff and feel-good Christmas story. No, it's so much more! The romance unfolds beautifully and I absolutely loved both Ben and Brittney. Brittney is smart and strong and the type of girl I'd love to have for my best friend. Ben is a huge hulk of a brute who is actually a great big teddy bear with the sweetest heart that any woman would be happy to take him home! Lucky for Brittney, Ben doesn't want just any woman!

    In addition to the great romance story line, this book is so much more. It spreads the message that people should love each other, no matter their differences. I liked the message that people shouldn't judge each other because we know nothing about the people around us. I liked the flaws in the characters, as they proved none of us are immune to this flaw and we all have to work for it.

    Read this book as fast as I could. It's a gripping read that doesn't let go. Great story and highly recommended!
