5,0 su 5 stelle Without question, Yamila's best work yet
The depth to this novel made it intensely enjoyable.
The intricacy with which the plot and the slowly-unfolding backstory developed presented so many good little twists from where I thought the story was heading, and the mystery of C-Raptin’s intentions and degree of control right up to the very end built up so much anticipation! The way Yamila represented Eisler as having severe social anxiety, a type of mental affliction often overlooked by "normal" people, and then developed him into the most wonderful, believable man exploring love for the first time was just beautiful.
Karin’s intelligence becomes almost the sole focus of her character, followed by her inspiring compassion. She is described merely as beautiful, leaving the definition of such up to the reader, and as the story progresses we come to see that she is thoroughly beautiful inside and out, a competant yet romantic woman.
Also, I can't get over the sheer level of detail Yamila put into the android city to make it both overwhelmingly foreign for Karin and thoroughly relatable and easily pictured for the reader. I could walk its length in my mind and enjoy the sights. We should all aspire to write so enjoyably as Yamila did here.
I'll end by saying that my headline was not quite correct: this is the best novel from Yamila YET, and I've no doubt that's not the last time I'll say it.

4,0 su 5 stelle Interesting
An enjoyable story with an interesting backstory for the androids. I liked that the female lead was not a pushover yet she was still soft and feminine. My main criticism would be that the ending felt a little rushed giving the whole story a feeling of being incomplete or the first in a series.

4,0 su 5 stelle One of Yamila's vest stories yet and very enjoyable.
There's not enough romance that involves Androids, so I'm thrilled Yamila chose to write one. However I think that out of all her stories, this one is my favorite. But, she played it safe, which is disappointing.
The way she chose for the main female protagonist and the main male protagonist to be able to procreate was a bit of a let down. I was hoping for babies with carbon fiber skeletons and maybe partially see-through skin, to show that though they're human, they have synthetic attributes.
I'm also confused on how Red Scale is unaffected by the megawave; if it goes across the entire planet, then Red Scale should also be damaged by it.
I'm hoping that there will be a second book, as Yamila has set up a great universe that she can easily expand, and hopefully give answers to some questions. I'd love to see C-Raptin make himself a body and get laid. Lord knows he could use it. =P

3,0 su 5 stelle Good read if you're looking for something sweet and short
The story was well written and the characters had good development. It had a very sweet ending, and you're happy for Eisler, especially when you find out about his past and the things he had done. Because it was so short, there is much else to say, but I give it a 3.5 star rating. Mostly because it was a decent story, but should have beenn more. The price, however, for something so short, is a little too much for a digital copy of something this length.

5,0 su 5 stelle A must read "slow burn romance "!❣
I read the sample and couldn't wait read the hole story. I totally enjoyed the "slow burn romance ". The science fiction world building was first class ... And the character where relatable. Knowing and interacting with family and friends with asperges's syndrome - one the main character was so real and touching. A high functioning genius with child like faith in his own creations. Once I started this ,couldn't stop....not even one of my can't sleep and no pill will help headache stopped me staying up to finish! I wish there was a second book in the works. This made me stop and think , about the world we are building for ourselves now. Just outright good scif!
Don't let the cover fool you into thinking its lowbrow .
