An Exposition of Hebrews (English Edition) Formato Kindle
An Exposition of Hebrews considers the epistle's purpose, theme, divisions, characteristics, value, and writer. It then delves into each verse and passage, explaining the truths found within and giving valuable insight into how you can apply these truths to life. This classic volume is the result of twenty years of research by Arthur Pink, who read dozens of commentaries and gave lectures on the Epistle of Hebrews. It is one of Pink's earlier works and originally appeared in his monthly magazine, Studies in the Scriptures.
Before taking up the study of this important Epistle let writer and reader humbly bow before its Divine Inspirer, and earnestly seek from Him that preparation of heart which is needed to bring us into fellowship with that One whose person, offices, and glories are here so sublimely displayed. Let us personally and definitely seek the help of that blessed Spirit who has been given to the saints of God for the purpose of guiding them into all truth, and taking of the things of Christ to show unto them. In Luke 24:45 we learn that Christ opened the understanding of the disciples "that they might understand the Scriptures." May He graciously do so with us, then the entrance of His words will "givelight" (Ps. 119:130), and in His light we shall "see light."
This, in a word, was to instruct Jewish believers that Judaism had been superceded by Christianity. It must be borne in mind that a very considerable proportion of the earliest converts to Christ were Jews by natural birth, who continued to labor under Jewish prejudices. In his early Epistles the apostle had touched several times on this point, and sought to wean them from an undue and now untimely attachment to the Mosaic institutions. But only in this Epistle does he deal fully and systematically with the subject.

5,0 su 5 stelle Pink at his best
If you are familiar with the work of Artur W. Pink you may find the heading a bit of an exageration but this is "Pink at his best". The depth of teaching in this book is excellent and each chapter is put in managable bits easy to digest. One can image other auhors treating this subject with great gravity and weighty points but pink puts his scolarship down in easy too understand sections. This is not to say that this in any way a lightway treatment of the Subject but it is written in an easy to read style but has has depths of meaning. Buy this book. Study this book and be blessed. Highly recommended

5,0 su 5 stelle A Long, but amazing read!
This book is comprised of articles written over a ten year period. Pink dives into each verse and explores the context, pulls out the meaning and makes practical application to our walk.
Of particular interest were the passages many use to suggest salvation can be lost. I encourage everyone to read this exposition and weigh what is presented. It's a serious matter, our eternal souls.
