This is an amazing piece of literature that has previously only been available in extremely limited editions to people on the inside of various Gurdjieff related study groups. It is the scenario of a ballet written by Gurdjieff as the centerpiece of his earliest efforts at group work with his students. Not only that it is beautifully written and tells a marvelous story of a battle between two magicians. The story is itself mythic, nearly Biblical, and conveys the essence of Gurdjieff's ideas and is one of the earliest existing literary works produced by Gurdjieff. It is highly recommended and, compared to much of Gurdjieff's later writing, is very easy to read and follow.
