Petals of Melancholy (English Edition) Kindle版
Petals of Melancholy is a poetry collection that meets you when you least expect it, like a beloved does.
A balm that cold-burns when confronted, despite our resistance born out of hopelessness; poetry validates the pain that resides, and then soothes it, reaching deep ends from within.
With no judgment and no pretense, Petals of Melancholy walks you through raw and real emotions with powerful vulnerability and dissolves into you as a warm embrace that you kept longing for.
Fulfilling a crucial need that you were unaware about, Varsha Alimchandani’s poetry comforts and validates your innermost thoughts, conciliating the wounded parts you have desperately packed away in your emotional baggage.
Tinged with the beauty of heartbreak that comes from weariness of existence, society, family, love, loss, art, mental health, healing and femininity, you find a loyal friend that sees you; walks hand in hand with you, making life bearable and worthwhile.

5つ星のうち5.0 Wonderful poetry
Amazonで購入"Petals of Melancholy" is a beautiful poetry collection that explores various human emotions. The author Varsha Alimchandani delivered themes of love, break up, family, grief, and feminity in a beautiful manner.
"You are a riddle to yourself" is one of the lines I got connected to. The author's maturity is seen throughout the book. All the poems are unique and relatable. "Between the shades" , "Time" are poems which I would like to read again and again. You cannot resist yourself to read one or two poems. The vocabulary used is simple and wonderfully written. The metaphors used are interesting.
Another line from this collection I would like to appreciate the most is "This life is a cluster of mirages." This shows how deep the author understands the nature of life.
Coming to the cover of the book.It is appealing to me and the colour lavender got my heart. It suits the theme of the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and highly recommend it to everyone.

5つ星のうち5.0 Must read
Amazonで購入Varsha Alimchandani's poetry collection "Petals of Melancholy is a passionate examination of the web of human emotions. With an intimate look at the problems and experiences we frequently conceal beneath societal standards, this book goes into the depths of life's reflections.
Loneliness is a recurring concept that is skillfully depicted in metaphors and moving lyrics. Deeply moving, Alimchandani's writings capture the weight of tragedies and the core of unsaid feelings. Readers will be transported into a world where time's unrelenting passage is acutely felt and silence often speaks more than words.
This book, which contains so many poems or passages on topics such as mental health, gender, loss, and love, is a potent examination of the human condition. The author did a great job writing the book and its clearly visible. So, if you are in mood of reading something unique or want to try new, this is it.

5つ星のうち4.0 Soulful poetry
Amazonで購入Petals of Melancholy by Varsha Alimchandani is a collection of poems which are the reflections of our life. As human beings we are often conditioned to behave in a way, we often have inner struggles in our mind as we can't move beyond societal expectations. Such issues are being expressed through poetry in this book.
The idea of loneliness is ideally portrayed throughout the book. At a point the poet unravels a reality that everyone leaves us, shadows still stay back, preserving us.
The problem of explanation is explored in a poem where the poet concludes that the language is rich as ocean but silence conveys more.
Among the poems, the poem 'Thirsty' stands as my favorite with its most thought provoking lines
"Your traumas, your chosen ways are so heavy in your pockets; you grieve through the cracks of conversations in your head."
There are a lot of relatable lines in books. After reading them we feel that we felt the same before, the poet just read our thoughts. An example is " Time doesn't pass—it eats me. And days pass away so so fast". The metaphors used in the poems were really good at times. The reference of life as a cluster of mirages,as an unfair drink etc gives us clarity. If you are a bit sensitive person, you will find several poems so relatable. So go head to read this emotional lines inorder to discover yourself in between the lines of poetry.
