I enjoyed the character development and mystery air of this fantasy novella. It reads almost like a murder mystery theater but with so much more at stake unfolding and with a strong aura of magic looming over the situation at hand. Looking forward to the next book.

The characters in this book displayed their quirks as well as their skills, making them personable and fun. The story is engaging with a cast of mythical creatures not found in many stories.
