    I've been teaching IB English B for 10 years. This is the first comprehensive guide to writing text types that I've found. It presents each text with a great presentation of the conventions, an exemplar and practice exercises. I wholeheartedly recommend "It's Alwrite" for both new and experienced teachers of English B and language teachers in general.

    The day I knew I did *really* good buying this book was when two of my students came to the teacher's room and asked me for, "The Book," as they have dubbed it. It's a straightforward guide, with example texts and a simple template for each text type. This guide is great for helping English B students breakdown them down into an easily accessible format and is easy for them to follow. In my opinion, it's a must have companion to the course for students.

    This book is a welcome release for both teachers and students. It is clear, very well laid out and an extremely useful resource. There has always been a bit of 'cloud' over what exactly the IB require from each text type, and teachers are only able to glean information from mark schemes of past papers. This book gives an overview of each text type, useful information to think about when creating it, a model layout, example text and even writing prompts so you can have a go yourself. I will be highly recommending it to both my fellow teachers and my students. Well done Matt Fletcher, it is clear to see the work and passion that has gone into this creation and you deserve every success. Now if you could get on and write one for the reading paper (true / false justifications are a challenge!) I will be ready to buy that too!!
