    I'm a fan of Cardeno C and enjoyed this book. I love the fact it's told from Samuels perspective. He's clearly a guy who has no clue how to interact with anyone and to say he's unemotional is an understatement so it's great how he comments on something and you know he got it totally wrong. It really added to the book. Every time he met Korban when they were children he is useless and its a wonder they ever manage to get together. They do however and both characters are very endearing. It's not a book that's packed with sex scenes (it takes half the book for Samuel to get a clue) but they are there and like everything else well written. Nice comfortable read

    A really good story showing yet another side of the true mate bond. Thankfully Samuel redeems himself from his unlikable character early in the book. I can't help feeling however, that the issue with Korban's pack remains unresolved.

    I have totally enjoyed this book and series. I do hope there us more as all three have been different a n d not predictable.

    In this one we had two shifters but one didn't recognise his true mate when they met. A tragedy brought them together finally.

    If you enjoy mm shifter books then you will enjoy this one. Highly recommend reading this series.

    An ever faithful C.Cardeno fan, I was delighted to get the opportunity to read these three new releases.

    This links to the previous two books - but not in such a strong way. It is important that the events happened as they help Samuel come to terms with his reality. I found this a fascinating, yet more difficult read than the other two, because Samuel is a shifter disconnected from his emotions. As we have had the previous two stories to immerse us in shifter law and practice, his ignorance of these matters is frustrating. I think the whole point was to write him in that way, and it works, but I was very happy when the light finally dawned and the sweetness could be released! Korban's calmness can only be imagined as he watched Samuel flounder with his preconceived rules and laws. The plot was strong and the romance turned hot, sweet and sexy. Another hit from this reliably talented author.

    In the past i’ve read and enjoyed quite a lot of menage books but i’ve never read an M/M book before. There isn’t a specific reason for this, and when I was given the opportunity to review this book by C Cardeno which combined a M/M romance and shifters, then I was more than willing to give it a whirl.

    The story is about Samuel, who is part of the Yalenack pack . Samuel meets Korban who is heir to the Maincarem pack initially when he is 8 and takes an instant dislike to him. He bumps into him at sporadic periods during his life and each exchange with Korban leaves him confused and conflicted.

    After an event that leaves both packs licking their wounds, Korben ends up held hostage by Samuel, a situation both of them did not see happened. Samuel’s careful control slips and he ends up tying with Korban whilst in their wolf forms.

    Samuel is horrified and it takes a lot of talking from Korban to him for him to come to terms with what happened and their relationship.

    Well I loved this little sweet romance. I thought the whole thing was handled very sensitively and it was nice to watch a relationship develop and layers get peeled away.

    Samuel was such a strange reserved character. In my head he was like a Zachary Quinto Spock - all repressed emotions until Korban finds the spark. Korban is cheeky and confident but has such a sweet side to him, laying everything on the line for his relationship with Samuel.

    Whilst there are plenty of sex scenes in this book, it’s not gratuitous and as said before I felt the whole thing was handled so well. I was really invested in them as a couple and rooting for their happily ever after.

    A sweet love story, that had enough side story to keep it on the right side of sickly, I will definitely seek out others in this series.

    So well worth the wait, as always Cardeno C delivered again. I had been looking forward to this 3rd book in "The Mates Series", of which I am a big fan and I must say that I was very pleased. I read it all in one go. I found the MC's very easy to like. The story is told from Samuel's perspective and gives us an insight to his internal turmoils. The fact that Samuel was so serious,studious and thrived to excel by being the best in everything and was well versed in the Pack law and was determined to be the best and strongest Alpha ever but was unfortunately emotionally challenged gave him an endearing quality.Ever since he was 8years old when he first laid his eyes on Korban Keller, whenever he was around him, he always experienced emotions he could not understand and that made him off balance , confused and angry. As he grew older he found it more difficult to hold on to his human side and even though he guessed the reason for this, he did not know what to do about it . He knew that it was only a matter of time before he lost himself to his wolf side but did not know that his saviour would come in the form of the presumptive Alpha from the neighbouring Miancarem pack and his secret obsession Korban Keller .
    On the other hand, Korban had known whom Samuel was to him since he was 11years okay and had patiently hoped over the years that Samuel would realise what they were to each other, 'True Mates'. Korban was the exact opposite of Samuel, he was amiable, easy going and was beloved by many. A threat to the pack by a challenge from Dirk Keller, Korban's father which resulted in a tragedy brought these two face to face again and it finally dawned on Samuel what had been missing from his life all along, his True mate. It was a big wake up call for Samuel, because he realised that some of the Pack guides and laws that he had studied most of his life was not only inaccurate but was wrong as he was a living proof of it. On the positive side, he was more grounded having found his true mate and together they face the challenges and threats that reared it's ugly head. This book was well written, it had all the markings of a great shifter novel, Love, action, drama and great sex , let's not forget a HEA. (It was also lovely to hear that ETHAN and MIGUEL were still doing great after so many generations together ) What more can one ask for? I highly recommend this book to all lovers of great shifter romance novels.

    I let you imagine when i saw that the 3rd books from the series was avaible. I simply love the author's way of writting those books !!!
    You can help but fall for the caracters who brings us into a paranormal society can be a hit if the writting's is as awesome has it been for the previous book ! Books by this author should always come first because es all know that we are all gonna love it :)

    I started this book and i first i was wondering what could arrive how he is gonna surprise us!
    And of course throughtout the books i could see myself and my bf when we argue it was pretty good since in thos case twas more than redaing it was also the fact that i see the caracters as i was part of the story wich is for us simply awwwwesome !!! Since that doesnt happen often. Thats how you you wont regret getting this book
    I will recommend any fans of Cardeno C to get this book aswell since it's perfect like the previous series or book that we've had the chance to read !!!!!!! You dont meet authors who are so damn talented !!!! This series is on greatest one !!!!!
