    A few years back I discovered the Vampire Queen Series. I enjoy them so much I read and re-read them. They are full of white-hot sex and realistic characters and themes that stir your imagination, compassion, passion, and humanity. Hill's attention to detail and ability to sell you on her stories and character make me return to her books over and over again. These books contain a tasty plethora of highly charged sex, passionate and dark and twisted and kinky plus lots of love and romance and noble lofty ideals and interesting storylines. Remember this is fantasy BDSM erotica, but if you're even a little bit open-minded you'll find a new author and characters to fall in love and lust with.

    The relationship of Lord Brian and his servant Debra meet and exceed all the high standards of Hill's fabulous formula. Page after page of heart-stirring, tear-jerking emotion as you grow to love and respect these characters you might already know a bit from the other books and plenty of panty-soaking explicit erotica and sex to keep you riveted to the book and ignoring household chores or other duties. Your intimate partner will benefit from your enjoyment of these novels too. The rewarding and fulfilling transformations of our main characters are always satisfyingly climactic.

    There's a lot of sex in this book, but it's so well integrated with their story and their feelings you don't want to miss any of it. Debra's unhappiness is deeply felt and Brian finally getting a clue and working to turn their relationship around kept me rivoted. I read this straight through,would have gladly read more about this couple. There are intense sexual situations,as vampires are kinky and like to share their servants.

    Joey W. Hill is truly talented, loved this book and the entire series.

    There were a couple editing issues where the letter f and e were exchanged.

    I always wanted to know the relationship of Lord Brian and Debra. Loved that they found each other after Lord Brian's stupid decision that he need to be an absent Master to protect Debra. Loved the way he stood up to Lord Graham who abused his authority at the previous Vampire Gathering. And how hurt Debra his servant was because he was to busy to protect her then. Now no one was going to hurt her ever again and I look bed it. Would have like to have known if Lord Brian succeed in getting Debra pregnant. Lol!

    I was happy to see something written about Brian and Debra. Like most fans of the series, we've been waiting just for this story. Even though the couple are usually in most of the other stories, it was great getting to know just about them. Men will be men, just because he's a vampire, doesn't mean, he won't make the same mistakes like your average human. I love Jacob for putting his two cents in. He obviously cares for Debra very much. Brian is so into his scientific studies, he doesn't see what's in front of him. Since this was my first ebook purchase, I wasn't disappointed. Maybe in the future novels we'll read that this couple is expecting their own child. Can't wait for the next story in this series.

    I first read this story as part of a boxed set and it was my introduction to the Vampire Queen Series. I loved the characters and so wanted to be Debra with a master like Brian to care for me. The scientific work in the lab was also an interesting balance to the erotica as it gave an insight into some of the problems that the vampires faced. I am now reading my way through the series and enjoying them all but this is still my favorite although Vampire Instinct with Malachi and Elisa runs a close second. As always, it's the dialogue that really sells a story to me whether it's a regency romance from Georgette Heyer or an erotic Vampire Queen novel, the conversations between Hero and Heroine must sparkle. In this series they do with the added bonus of conversations via the mind link between the vampire and their servant. Brilliant.
