It says a lot about an author when they can not only make someone enjoy a genre they aren't quite fussed on, but to make them enjoy it to such an extent that they are willing to rant, rave and let out a high pitched girlie squeal in delight.

Hostile Takeover was quite simply the perfect ending to a fantastic series.

I don't hide the fact that I'm not much of a BDSM fan. Some aspects of it I enjoy - the dominance (yummy), the bondage and submission....in a virginal manner, but I don't relate to the enjoyment of hardcore discipline, sadism and masochism. I'm a pansy ass, I don't like pain, so the concept isn't a turn on for me at all. In saying that - I do not judge people who do.

So for an author to make me swoon over a book heavily into BDSM is quite a feat...and I was swooning.

This book was everything an epic erotic romance should be. It was hot, definitely a panty scorcher and naughty, naughty, naughty. The kingpins of porn production have nothing on Joey Hill, but what makes me love this woman so much is the way she entwines hot sex with soul deep emotion, humour and the sexiest gawd damn men on the face of the planet.

Ben was super doper yummy, a complete candy store of lickable goodness. Dominant - check. Handsome - check. A gentleman - check. A penis big enough to rival a stallion - check. I absolutely adored him. I could write pages on the reasons why I want to get on my hands and knees for this man, but I won't. Those of you who have already read it will know exactly what I'm talking about and those that haven't will have to take my word for it and read the damn book.

Marcie was equally enjoyable. The way she loved Ben and didn't waver in her devotion - no matter what - was heart warming. The way she chased him, page by page wearing him down to his true feelings made this my FAVOURITE book in the series.

For all the hardcore erotic fans - those who love BDSM, YOU. HAVE. TO. READ. THIS. BOOK.

To full understanding of just how totally mind blowing this book is, before you read it, if you have not read the first 4 books in this series, The Knights of the Boardroom, please do. This book takes place 4 years after the last one, Afterlife.

It is the story of Marcella Moria, Cassandra Moria's younger sister from Controlled Response, and Lucas' wife and submissive. You see in that book, Marcie, as she is known, lets us know that she has a crush. This book is all about how a very intellgent, beatiful young lady, who has more courage then pretty much any other heroine I have read about, sets her site on someone that she has wanted for a very long time. Someone who became her friend, her buddy and her very world. But that certain someone never knew that she had a secret.. One that she was not ready to share with him due to her age and inexperience. But know she is back in his world, and the feelings that she had as a child have not died; they have only gotten stronger.

Ben O'Callahan is the last of the 5 Knights who is still single. K and A's hot, green eyed sexy lawyer, he loves women but his Dominant nature is a bit more then even most of them can handle. Having seen his friends, the other Knights, all find their true soulmates and loves has caused him to isolate himself from their reality since it is just to painful to bear. Enter in his life again, young Marcie, his buddy, his friend, but little no more. She knows he is for her but convincing him of that fact and that she owns his heart, will take the Hostile Takeover of a lifetime.

This may just be the most intensely erotic novel I've read. To say it makes you squirm while reading it is an understatement. Ben and his "associates" all are super-hot (I had not read the first 4 books of this series, so this was my first encounter with them). Ben's relationship with Marcie starts out sweet and you cannot help but feel a bit sorry for him with all the confusion she creates in him. He wants to do right by her and doesn't feel she's right for his world. Boy, does she prove him wrong. The scenes in this book are extremely graphic and nearly every type of (legal) sex imaginable is discussed or described. It was borderline too intense for me, and some of the scenes seemed overly gratuitous and didn't necessarily move the story along. I also felt like some of the girl on girl descriptions and fantasies were a bit too incestuous and it was a little uncomfortable to read, so I skimmed over those sections to avoid losing my lunch. Other than that, great escape of a book. If you are a fan of BDSM/erotica, I would highly recommend this book.

I had never heard of the Knigths of the board room when I picked up this book. The blurb drew me in and I thought I would give it a try.

From the moment I started to read I was drawn in. Marcie is an engaging character and from the first I was backing her in her endevour to hook her man or master in this case. Braver lady then me it has to be said and fair play to her for sticking with her dream no matter what stood in her way!

I fell for Ben hard! My heart bled for the boy he had been and melted for the man he had become....well apart for one time out side the club...i won't spoil it..but seriously he needed a smack upside the head.....

But as a whole I loved this book and will most assuredly be getting the rest of the Knights......... ;D
