INTRO

Mohanji is a well-known humanitarian who has dedicated his life to serving the world. In 2003 he founded Ammucare (www.ammucare.org) and ACT Foundation (www.actfoundation.org) with the purpose of empowering the helpless through food, shelter, education, clothing and healthcare. Mohanji subsequently founded the Mohanji Foundation in 2012, which has its headquarters in Switzerland. It is active across five continents, officially registered in 16 countries and has a regular presence in over 90 countries. The foundation consolidates all the practices, meditations, kriyas and teachings that Mohanji has shared. He has always maintained that “my religion is Humanity and my path is Ahimsa (non-violence)”. His core teaching is simply “Be You”; accept, understand, recognize and express your uniqueness into the world.

WORKING CAREER

Mohanji was born in India, and after completing a postgraduate in literature, he embarked on a career in the shipping industry in the Middle East that lasted 22 years. Starting as a Sales Executive, Mohanji excelled in his work and progressed quickly in his career. In a short number of years, he held Senior Management positions, finally holding the role of Country Head for 5 countries.

In 2000, his daughter’s tragic loss in a road accident marked a major turning point in his life. A series of personal tragedies followed, which pushed him further on the journey ́to know himself ́ and the very meaning and purpose of life. He decided to turn the tragedies of his life into positive action, dedicating his life to the welfare and service of the world.

HUMANITARIAN AND PHILANTHROPIST

Mohanji’s key teaching is to lead a life of humanity rooted in nonviolence.

In living with conviction to leave the world a better place, Mohanji has founded many organizations that all have a focus on the upliftment of society at large:

● Ammucare was founded in 2003 in the name of his late daughter Ammu, who passed away in a tragic road accident on August 23rd, 2000.

Ammucare aims to empower people to be self-sufficient. It is active across 20 states in India and provides food, clothing, shelter, education and healthcare to those in need. This is a platform completely run by volunteers.

● ACT Foundation was also founded in 2003, with aim to provide food, clothing, shelter, education and healthcare in 21 countries worldwide.

● Mohanji Foundation is registered in 16 countries with activities in 90 countries.

The aim of the foundation is to bring righteousness, love, compassion, kindness and selflessness in the world through practices that lead to finding oneself. His core teaching is “Be You” which means being a real you beyond your positions, possessions and relations.

● Early Birds Club encourages people to wake up early. This gives people more time to connect with themselves, leading to good emotional and physical stability. It is creating a purposeful generation of people that are disciplined and organized. There is a dedicated club for Adults, Teens and Kids.

● World Consciousness Alliance unites artists, entertainers, musicians and legends in their field to raise the consciousness of a generation to a new mindset of compassion, kindness with a recognition that success lies in what you give to the world rather than what you take.

● Act 4 Hunger unites all the Mohanji Platform food activities under a sole vision to provide vegan food beyond the boundaries of species.

● The Himalayan School of Traditional Yoga, Language, Martial Arts and Dance brings the ancient and authentic traditions of sacred Bharat to the world.

ADVISORY

Mohanji acts in an advisory capacity for many people and activities across the world. He readily supports, encourages and gives guidance for the work that promotes the teachings of Bharat (Ancient India) and the principles of Sanatan Dharma, the ultimate truths.

● Advisor for the Shree Jagannath Temple Trust in the UK which will establish a temple to Lord Jagannath in London, UK.

● Advisor to the Moksha Trust and Kshetrapalaka, which are restoring the ancient destroyed and dilapidated temples of India.

PUBLICATIONS

Mohanji possesses a uniquely direct but elegant power of articulation to express his teachings. To date, he has many books to his credit, such as Power of Purity: Essential Essays for Spirituality, Silence of Shiva, and Mast - The Ecstatic. These have been translated into many languages and are read by people across the world.

● Seal of the Municipal District of Huarocondo in Peru for his selfless and consistent humanitarian missions around the world. (2018)

● The Zulu Peace Warrior Stick was presented in South Africa by the Zulu King, His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini. It is entrusted to those who bring peace to the land. (2018)

● The Shivananda Trust Peace Award in recognition of his ceaseless altruistic work and desire to foster unity and peace worldwide. (2018)
