Steve Simpson has never been able to work out exactly what he does, although he would probably feed the cat if he had one. He’s sold over 30 poems and short stories to publishers for various magazines and anthologies, and his Purpose of Reality illustrated collections were published by Meerkat Press in 2022. They include The Beautiful Horizon, which was a finalist for the 2022 Aurealis Awards in the Fantasy Short Story Category. Texture of Silence, with co-author Eugen Bacon, was released in 2023.
In the visual arts, artworks and videos created with his image evolution software have been shown at many exhibitions, and with data from wearable EEG (Electroencephalogram) headsets, he’s developed a system to display meaningful artworks from changing mental states, rather than simple waves.
In the sciences, he’s published over 200 research papers, most recently in clinical neurology, and awards include the Peter Doherty Innovation Prize, for WeldPrint™, technology to make vehicles safer. A monograph, “Time and Time Travel,” is hidden in the mists of the future, and he likes wood ducks, doesn’t everyone? In the ether underworld, he’s @inconstantlight.

Jamie Brindle has been writing stories for many years. Occasionally, they are even published. He was raised by two ex-hippies that sold boomerangs for a living and grew a hedge maze in their back garden, in Bedfordshire, England. He was home educated until the age of fourteen, which gave him lots of time to do the really important things in life, like make boomerangs and run around mazes. He studied biochemistry at the University of Sussex, before realising that he didn't really enjoy working in labs. He then worked in a school for around four years - a terrifying experience for someone who was home educated - before studying medicine at Warwick University. He currently works as a GP. He finds writing speculative fiction a wonderful way to unwind after long shifts spent in the bizarre fantasy world of the NHS.
J.A. Becker is top-100 Amazon Best Selling Author. He lives in Sydney Australia with his wife, two kids, and an annoying miniature dachshund. He primarily writes science fiction, action-adventure, and a little mystery.
He enjoys reading, writing, board games, and spending time with his wonderful family--not the dog though.
