- Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2016Third in the series, and still going strong. With all the 'Zombie Infestation' things going on now, I found this series, while coving the genre also covers rebuilding from rubble. Since there is no power, you have all the doomsday preppers that survived and can continue to survive because they had knowledge of how to cope without modern conveniences. The lead characters in this story are the horses and the women that ride them. The training required for these women to do what they do, ride, fight, shoot arrows, basically be Huns, is well written. I also enjoyed the portions where they not only shared this knowledge but the author was able to demonstrate that the lessons were learned. I can't wait for the next book!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2021Such a nice series of books. Wish the author had continued on. Was really left hanging with lots of tbreads/storylines open for more.
