Everything you've ever wanted to say to an inauthentic ingratiating ... "server" ... and everything you've ever thought but didn't have to chutzpah to say out loud ... and Richard says even more!

The topic of restaurant service was both truthful and comical.
I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for making a simple encounter with a waiter a eye opening experience.

A novel dealing with the infinite humor in life and our daily routine that involve personal idiosyncrasies. The situations we deal with and our individual relationship to those situations. The variety in our tolerance for the bizarre or novel. The very amusing sketches of situations that "are the straw that breaks the camel back". Events we are all involved in, but expressed in a novel by an often curmudgeonly protagonist who reflects on family life, relations with children, fads of the moment and dealing with absurd people. Very entertaining.

I love and understand what the author expressed. There is a polite mannerism in which we expect to be served our food and drinks .
