- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2023I’m sure if your reading this, you too have probably been thru hell. If the police, suicide, or incredibly devious accusations that changed your life aren’t part of why your looking, you are not in the same place I am. I’m trying to understand more about what somebody else is seeing. Loving someone with bpd is both hard, dangerous and yet unfortunately also a breath of life. The parallel universe of love and fear exists - Especially when mixed with other issues. Even more so when they are too narcissistic to believe a diagnosis. If you want peace in your mind around what someone else thinks, this book has value. If you want a fancy tale with big words and small print with lots of fill, it may not be right for you.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2021I bought this book because my boyfriend has BPD and I want to understand his experience better, but the writing is so? Messy. The stories are okay, but the author needs a good editor. No shame in that! I just wish the writing didn’t get so much in the way of the message. It also seems problematic to me that this wasn’t written by someone with BPD, at least that wasn’t mentioned on the back or in the prologue. It also seems to exaggerate a little, at least in the beginning. I don’t know that for sure, as someone who’s only seen BPD second hand, and doesn’t have the disorder, but it seems that way.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not waste your money....
I'm extremely disappointed with this book. 100 large print pages that I read in about 45min. I feel like it was written by a high school student. While some of the day in the life "stories" about what someone with BPD experiences hit home, they are extremely short, not very detailed, and not very helpful in any way. Definitely do not recommend wasting your money!
