A Lovecraftian story arc set in the present day

These stories present an unusual set of protagonists, where one of them is affiliated with the antagonists. So you, the reader, see 'inside' the cult more than usual for these kinds of stories. The pages turn quickly and I enjoyed the relationships and the twists on how secret societies, magic, etc. work. I also loved the feminist twist to a classic fantasy trope found in the 'bonus' story included at the end of the book. I look forward to reading more by this author.
