Griffin Pike, a megalomaniacal tech mogul, projects international rage onto the PTB with his ancestor’s antique journal containing cryptic clues to a lost ship as his failsafe option.

Artemus Pennywell, the ageless PTB CEO, parries post-invasion gut punches, overseeing relief efforts alongside his quintessential replicant valet and fixer, Andrew. With cutthroat mercenaries and the ruthless Grays searching for the lost ship, he dispatches eccentric scientist Richard King and new PTB agents Rachel and Owen to the Amazon in a race to secure the prehistoric alien payload. Author and artist John Hopkins’ passion for the sci-fi genre and curiosity for what lies beyond common knowledge shape his character-driven storytelling. While active in his accomplished career in communication arts, John followed his muse, publishing Lost Cactus comic strips set on a top-secret base akin to Area 51. The ensuing award-winning comic anthologies included a shared universe of short stories and humorous essays that spawned John’s sci-fi thriller trilogy. Written in the veins of his influences from Edgar Rice Burroughs and Philip K. Dick to Michael Crichton and James Rollins et al., Books One and Two in The Powers That Be trilogy, The Golden Ellipse, and The Lost Ship, are available now.
