This is the more simplified version of my very popular Moccasin Slippers with a Cuff. I wanted to design a pattern that was still very minimalistic but didn’t require any special techniques or multiple needles. This is what I came up with.

The pattern is knitted on one set of single pointed, size 4 mm (US 6) needles. The pattern itself only involves the knit stitch, k2tog and picking up stitches. Easy peasy! For real. And if it’s not, I’ve included a TON of photos to help you along.

Like the majority of my knitting patterns, it's made with worsted weight yarn (aran will also work). And as a final note, the pattern is for slippers from a men’s size 5 to 12 and for a women’s 6 to 12 (North American sizing).

Originally, I started selling finished beaded jewelry on Etsy and was overjoyed when folks started buying it. It further developed into finished slippers, more jewelry and a variety of unique collectibles and antiques.

Time and life went on and I created a number of unique slippers, texting mitts and jewelry items that no one else was producing. I became a little bored making the same things over and over and finally decided to create my first tutorial on how to make seed bead bracelets. That led me down the road of self publishing. Once bitten by the pattern writing and publishing bug I never looked back.

Amazing what a chick from the prairies can accomplish with a computer, an Internet connection, a little creativity and dare I say, chutzpa ;-)
