About the author

Jamie Mathieson is best known as a television writer, penning several critically well-received episodes of Doctor Who (Mummy On The Orient Express, Flatline and Oxygen). Before that he wrote for the supernatural flatshare dramedy Being Human, the longest running writer after the creator Toby Whithouse. His entrance into the industry was the sci-fi comedy feature film Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel, starring Anna Faris and Chris O'Dowd. He spent most of his thirties earning a living as a stand-up comedian. Before that he worked for Royal Mail Customer Services.
There is a rumour that one day he'll find a career and stick with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great set of well-written stories
Had only heard of the author through his website and Dr Who works, but there's some great reading, characterisation and twists in here - even if some are obvious a mile away - but in 9/10 tales here you'll enjoy the journey as much as the ending.
Look forward to the second ten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quirky, clever story collection
I enjoyed them all and read a couple aloud with my partner. Highly recommended.
