I've looked and looked, and can't find this... is there a number in the US where I can call for problems with my account? All I can find is a web page where I can leave a question/comment, but I can't tell how quickly those get answered. Certainly not in a few days. I'm hoping the phone would be faster.
Specifically, my issue is with a title that I registered in the KDP Select program, which doesn't show up that way. Since there is a share of money allocated in the month of December, each day in December in which my book is not listed correctly potentially has a financial impact.
Wow. NO phone number, and no way to tell if they even received your question? (I've written three times--I write once a day--and have never gotten an acknowledgement that my question has even been received, so I wasn't sure if it was getting through.)
Do you know if that's just for small independent publishers? I mean, does Random House also get no contact number? I just don't see how it's possible to do business like that.
There is much to like about Amazon when things are working. But I would think when things are not working, that they too would like to get them resolved. How would they do that, if we can't communicate? (I know, you don't have an answer to that! I am just wondering out loud.)
I am sure the big publishers have a direct line and even a dedicated representative. I don't expect the same treatment, but the abyss of customer support for us indies is horrifying. I am grateful that Amazon exists and know I need them more than they need me, but the KDP support process could be greatly improved.
