Although sales have remained pretty positive so far during December on Amazon .com & .co.uk, I've had very little response in Amazon's other new European outlets in the last couple of months... but am delighted to announce a sale (my first) into Italy - Ta Da!

Anyone else had any real success yet in Europe with an English language Kindle story?

Very little from most but I see that they understand FREE as they begin to download the free promotions in Germany. You gotta laugh.

I jumped into a taxi last night and do you know he actually charged me, as did the waiter where I got my grub. Funny that they both expected my books for free.

Yep, I understand; I don't do FREE!

I'm currently working on the sequel to The Great Satan but doubt I'll give either away for nothing when the time comes. Writing is a business and should be treated as such. If I ran a shop, I wouldn't offer my stock free for the first week...would I?

I'm not against other authors offering freebies, but it just seems to go against the grain, giving the long unpaid months and hard work involved in producing a decent story.

Congrats!

While I sell a few in the UK each month, the other day I sold my first books in Germany. Nothing else in Europe. I figure the sales in Germany were to a soldier based there. I do sell in other countries, because I always have a few 35% sales, but there is no way to know which countries.

I've had my 5 books since near the end of Nov., and so far have sold 1 in UK and 1 in Germany, a different book in each country.
