Hello everyone

Just asked 3 friends to log into their amazon accounts for me to check the price of my new book which I'd set at $2.90.

One of them was the right price, another was $3.58, another was $4.84!

So basically I'm totally confused?

Amyone had this before?

Cheers Mark

Are your friends in different countries? Amazon automatixally adjusts the price depending on VAT.

why would you set it at 2.90 and not 2.99 to get the 70% commission??

Hi Mark,

The book is on sale at $2.90 in the US.

If you've gone for the 35% option, you'd be better raising the price to $2.99 and getting 70% of any sales.

The prices your friends are seeing are probably due to them looking at the US site whilst being in another country. In the UK we don't see the US price, but instead see the UK price converted into dollars. Amazon don't want us to be comparing prices between different countries.

You can see the US price by going through a US Proxy site.
