I may be crazy, but I've decided to raise the price of my ebooks. I feel like I've been devaluing my work with low prices, hoping to get more people to read them.

January was an awesome month for sales. I finally made some real money, some $900. February is super slow. If I'm only going to sell a book a day, I'm going to sell it for a fair price for me and the reader.

What do you all think? Am I crazy?

Depends what you want to charge. (I feel that $900 might be too high.)

Yes, of course price resistance is a problem once you go over $899, but below that I should be golden, right?

Seriously, I'm looking at $4.99 for the 125k novel and $2.99 for the 9k with my own drawings zombie guide. I'm not pretending the ebooks are gold plated or anything.

Seems reasonable to me. Although now that you mention gold-plating....Mmmm... Memo to self: must contact Createspace and ask about the possibility.

I agree. Once you've made a bit of a mark, get out of the $.99 pool...

A higher price implies worth.

Sorry, as a matter of principle I don't pay more than £299.00 for 7,500 words ;)
