Good morning after awhile away.
I had a list of names for ibook sizes, like novella, novel, short story, etc. I have been searching for it on the forum but could not find it. Can anyone help, please?

Most people quote the SWFA guidelines that are used for Nebula award entries:

Novel 40,000 words or over
Novella 17,500 to 39,999 words
Novelette 7,500 to 17,499 words
Short story under 7,500 words

However, other organizations have different guidelines. I imagine that most readers have never heard of a novelette, for example, so I would simply classify something of that length as a short story.

Thanks for that, it was always an incentive to write more when I thought I should stop.

Those terms are redundant in the minds of readers, especially when buying a book for kindle. Readers look at page count and compare books that way.

I aim for 120 pages, which would probably translate to 36K words. But, it's perfectly possible to write a 120 page book using as little as 25K words if it's mostly dialogue and has spaced paragraphs.
