We're letting the spam accumulate in the Accounts forum and deleting it everywhere else, as sort of a protest. Especially if there's a flood of spam and not the sporadic post....

Oh goody!

Someone else who can elevate this post now without lengthening it!

Gwythyr, now you've joined us, any time you feel like lifting this thread to the top of the pile, just go into your post to edit it, and add or take away an extra full top. Delete the 'Edited by' message before you close, so your post doesn't get longer each time.

It's the best way to get the Zon's attention, and it does appear to be working.(Assuming all the work isn't still being done for them by well-meaning community members.)

Up until now it's just been Donna and I on this thread, although I know Joseph has also been doing a fine job on the other thread.

It does seem to be a never ending task!

(I've decided to add a smiley face or a grumpy face, just to keep track of how often I uplift the post, starting 13/11/17, just to liven things up a bit.)

I've been going into a post and adding a period "." at the end of a post. That takes this thread to the top of the list without adding another nothing to read. ... I did knock down a lot early Sat (today) morning on this forum as I was watching a TV show. About 4 or so in the morning I quit.

That looks GREAT !!!!
For the last 2 or 3 days, I broke down and deleted about 30 spams each day on this thread. :(

I just realized it looks rubbish on my phone screen! LOL

Oh well... People will just have to invest in a laptop if they want to see it in all its glory!

I put one on the other thread, but it's on page 3. (I was practicing.) I'll move it up later.

Stay strong Donna! Resist, and the Zon will step up and do the right thing! 😉

Up late and while on my first cup of coffee, I just knocked out about another dozen.
I look for a large bucket load to come in today.

I've lost track of how many I've killed the past few days.

Why do they do this?
Are people really stupid enough to click those links?
Why is this forum unable to prevent them when others have mechanisms to block this stuff?
Why? Just why?

I suspect the spammers are paid by the number of spam posts they can place. It doesn't matter that placing them here is totally fruitless.

Not here. Maybe elsewhere.

Why is this forum unable to prevent them when others have mechanisms to block this stuff?

I suspect the forum is written in a language for which they no longer have tech support, and they don't want to hire anyone to add something as simple as a captcha.

Why? Just why?

Because! Just because!!

Oh, there you are, Donna, Joe, et. al., hidden behind four seven ( ! ) pages of canned meat.
