No need to waste time choosing from the drop down menu, just report as is, :)

Hit the triangle, then hit 'report abuse'.
I always do it that way, so much quicker when there are lots of them :)

I do it the same way. It's faster, and I doubt the bots care what category we list.

I might kill 3 or 4 on one visit, or see none. Then for a late night/early morning look (Eastern US time), I'll remove 10-15 of the pesky things. Some reappear even as I'm rubbing them out via automatic reposts of the same spam. That only energizes me to keep killing the darn things.

I got the ‘posting ax’ twice for deleting spam, that being where you are just swept up with poster names of the bad guys. A note to customer service telling them that I delete spam, that I do not post spam and asking to be reinstated has cleared it up within a day or so – and with an apology. I’ll probably get the ax again soon, and (LOL) then another dear apology.

I am going to copy the spam note I posted (the top post) in this forum to the Account Issues forum as it is thick there too.

Really? I'm feeling downright left out! I've nuked I-don't-know-how-much-spam, and I've never gotten the Posting Nastygram, or banned. Harumph!

You're special--banning only happens to us mere mortals :)

It wasn't that bad, really. It kept me off the forums for a week, so I was more productive. That is, after I'd recovered from the shock, because for a moment I thought they'd banned my entire KDP account...

Considering the forum usually has a couple of thousand "guests" at any given time, I'm not surprised.

I wonder if "guests" can flag a post?

I do know that if your posting privileges have been suspended, you can still flag a post.

Nope...just tried. Clicking the yellow triangle takes you to the login page.

The forum pages are definitely "snappier" when not logged in, though. If it weren't for the absence of the little red dots, I could deal with not logging in!

I log in and out a LOT. That drag or lag drives me nuts.

I load the forum index page (e.g., "Ask the Community"). Then, I open each new topic in a separate tab. By the time I've finished reading the first tab, the next has loaded, and so on. It still drives me nuts, though...

Amazon is the world's third-largest information technology company by revenue, headed by the world's richest, or second richest, person.

Is it really beyond Amazon's ability to run a forum properly?

However, I'm prepared to show willing. For as little as $50 a day, I will keep on top of the spam situation and moderate this forum. I can't say fairer than that!

BTW, Donna, please stop spamming this thread!

Spamming? Which post has you upset?

I think your snark meter is off, Donna. :)

At least, I think that was Gary's intention.
