Hello everyone

After a book butterfly promo earlier this month my book was rank stripped and I received the - we are reaching out to you email relating to manipulating KNEP. Book butterfly seemed to be one of the reputable companies out there.

Anyway I have replied to Amazon, offered them full details of how the promo ran, the fb, email and twitter feeds. However I have had little in the way of a reply on the way forward.

What I wanted to know, and I can't get a reply on this from Amazon, is whether the book will ever rank again. It lost it's rank on 14th December. I would really just like to know whether to pack up my pens and give it up as a bad loss or whether to keep on emailing them every few days. It is awful being in limbo and I don't honestly think that bookbutterfly is one of these shady companies trying to manipulate Amazon.

For me it has been really sad, I booked the promo to coincide with my new book release and I was really hoping for lots of good things over Xmas and it has all really spoilt the festive season.

If anyone knows what happens next, if anything can you let me know.

Kind regards

Sam

They should answer but right now the Christmas season is in the way.

Is it still showing as being for sale?

Hi Yes the book is still for sale and still selling and gaining page reads. It just does not show a rank and sales are now about 20% of what they were before it lost it's rank. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

There was a recent thread here about the same thing happening to other authors. I don't remember the eventual outcome, but if you search the forums for "books butterfly" it should come up.
