I was having dinner with a fellow writer, and I mentioned a passage in one of this books that had been highlighted over a thousand times. He was surprised, and I realized that I had no idea what sections of my own work were resonating with readers.

I have bought all my books so I can check them out on a Kindle, but that was immediately after publishing. Does anyone know if there is an easy way to get the latest, well, not version, but the lasted rendition where we can see where readers have highlighted text?

There used to be a "popular highlights" section on the book's product page, but it's been gone for a while. You can still see popular highlights on the Kindle device or Kindle apps, but I don't think it shows a count.

Under Reader Settings, ensure that Popular Highlights is enabled, then sych from the side menu. In the About the Book section from the side menu you can see the highlight count and the highlights inside. Page Curl is also a nice setting to have enabled...makes it seem more like a real book.

I can see that when I read a new book, but when I bought my books, no one had read them yet. Now, they've been read a lot, and I'd like to see what is catching their intererst, if anything.

I bought my books first day out. They all have highlights now. Looking at just one, I find that 13 sections have been highlighted 493 times. Clicking inside, I see exactly which ones were marked. What's amazing to me is that the same sections resonate with so many readers, though I was surprised by some of their choices.

I'm going to have to take a look. I just assumed that those comments wouldn't migrate.
