So I received a check from Kindle Direct Publishing and in it is a notice that state Amazon will be phasing out payments by check by the end of 2017 but I'm from Singapore and it is NOT a country supported by Amazon. So electronic funds transfer (EFT) is out. I thought EFTs are only going to be applied in countries where EFT is available from Amazon. How do I get my royalty payments if both checks and EFT are out? Any advice?

A lot of people in the community ask about about Payoneer. I don't know much about it, but there are plenty of threads.

No doubt someone here will be able to let you know if it's available in Singapore.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else is available to you.

Good luck. J

Well, I sent a email to Amazon on the matter and received a reply from them that basically tell me to ignore the notice. They say the notice about phasing our of checks is only for the US publishers and they would contiune to send my payment via checks for the future. Guess they made a mistake sending me that notice.

Hi Roy,
I find processing Amazon's USD checks via Singapore banks are expensive. Approx $22 gets cut as commission and postage. May I know your choice of bank and the schedule of fees ? Thanks

To my knowledge, Citibank is the cheapest at $15 so I'm afraid it's around there.
