Hello, We have many books that have been live on KINDLE since it was created, and nearly all of them have DISAPPEARED from our bookshelf!?! Where are they?
Do we need to re-publish close to 30 titles???
Thank you very much for your valuable time and any help you can give.
Thanks so much for your reply. We never logged in with a different username or password. The books are still nearly all gone from KINDLE but most are on sale still in the KINDLE store.
We need to see our book sales, make some additions and don't know if we should re-publish nearly 30 books or if there is a glitch in the system.
This is entirely frustrating AND we hope someone who is in charge can help fix this. If you have ANY advise or how to reach the people in charge of KINDLE PLEASE let us know.
Thank you again for your valuable time and help. It is very much appreciated!
For convinience I have the Web pages saved as favorites in my browser (IE-8) and Generally, it works very well.
On at leas 2 seperate occasions My bookshelf suddenly lost all of it's contents!
Fortunately in both cases the problem was cleared up with a page refresh (F5)
It may be that when there is maintance going on the fixed address is not working properly and if you were to ncvigate to the page using a different pathway (rather than the shortcut) you would go to a temporarry page that is functioning.
In other words try loging out and re entering the bookshelf fronm the login interface.
I use a MAC and there is nothing under "View" to change such as this.
Amazon are the worst bunch of sharks to try and get support from.
Ring this number, after about six emails, and getting a phone number from them is blood out of a stone. So I ring that number. Nope, they are not Kindle specialists, ring another number. I do so. Give us your number and email and the Kindle specialist will get back to you. No I want to speak to them now. O.K. I will put you through but they will say the same as me.
They leave me on hold for over 25 minutes, from the U.K. to the U.S.!
I am sure that this is deliberate and all they have are people telling you where to click on their website to get support, none of which ever works. And they just answer the phone and do not give any real support.
Amazon also sell goods at whatever price they choose, and this can be under the cost of production, and you get, as a seller, 30% of THEIR selling price. It costs me more money to sell through Amazon than it does to produce the printed book. Their business model is desperately immoral.
Their practice is utterly unfair and they offer no support!
I have hung up after and expensive phone call on hold, and no one answering. I wonder if this is intentional!
**heir practice is utterly unfair and they offer no support!**
The obvious solution to your problem is immediately to stop doing business with Amazon. That will teach them!
There is no phone support for the KDP. That is clearly stated; you needn't make an international call to discover it. I find I get same-day replies if I use the Contact form on my Author Central page and clearly state the issue.
