Jessica Arnold is a single mother doing everything she can to survive. Regular life to her is two jobs, keeping up with her son and her friends. How was she supposed to know that she belonged to another world? That she belonged to a world of witches and wizards and vampires, oh my. Jessie’s world is flipped over as she finds out that she’s not only a witch but an Arch Mage. Her friends help her get her son to safety and start her journey to learning the elemental world, when her feelings for one of her friends Rick, changes. After almost twenty years of friendship, she now sees Rick in a whole new light. But being left in the dark for all of her life was one secret she didn’t know if she could forgive.
Rick Mathers was proud of the way he had survived his childhood, but if it hadn’t been for his friends, including Jessie, he wouldn’t have had a reason to care. Now his purpose has changed, he has Jessie to protect and his father after them and their coven. Rick fights the attraction for Jessie, but denial isn’t just a river in Egypt.
An intense battle begins almost immediately. As the coven members grow in power and their trial begins, Rick and Jessie have to learn to adjust and work out their personal feelings while on the run.
Check out my two mystery/romance books:
Jonathan Worlde is the nom de plume of a criminal defense lawyer and a very high-level official in the Department of Justice. He explains that he chose that moniker at the time of publication of his first book, Latex Monkey with Banana in 2002, because otherwise he ran the likelihood of having government censors reviewing and butchering his work. Since Latex Monkey has become such a cult classic he decided to continue with the Jonathan Worlde identity for his noir mysteries and certain other works of fiction. His first career was in film production; he worked in the U.S. and in Germany making news and documentary films. He developed an appreciation and love for both the graphics and psychology of film noir. He writes neo-noirs in the tradition of the great classics, with particular attention to the visual aspects of storytelling he learned as a filmmaker.
Jonathan Worlde's book Latex Monkey with Banana was winner of the Hollywood Magnum Discovery Award with a prize of $1000. Fearless Reviews wrote: “A stunningly original ‘Latino noir’ novel in which Puerto Rican sax man Sharkey Doremino is fast and funny and vivid, like Kinky Friedman if the Kinster had Latino soul and a lot more energy.”
His book Deep in the Cut was a finalist for the St. Martin’s Press annual 1st Detective Novel competition. Kirkus Reviews wrote: “Impressive are his colorful portraits of la Raza, the Central American immigrants who populate this tale, including Bonifante’s ex–brother-in-law (a Latino FBI agent) and the hookers, housekeepers and clients who deal with the lawyer every day. Readers will be drawn to Bonifante despite his mistakes and confusion… Bonifante’s goofy charm, keen self-perception and wily ambition make for quite the escapade.”

I have two ebooks on amazon. One is the first book in a YA fantasy series. The other is a contemporary romance.
The YA fantasy- Mystic Hearts: Light of the Bonded Fates
Description- Mystic Hearts: Light of the Bonded Fates is a young adult fantasy and the first in a five book series. The book has a compelling amount of suspense, adventure, and romance with a message reminding us to have confidence in ourselves, even when hope seems lost, and that love can be a light in the darkest of times. The story revolves around Balthazar of Kalator, a boy of sixteen, who carries a burden when he discovers he is a destined hero know as the Chosen and his beloved Kristella is bonded to his fate. They share thoughts, feelings, dreams, and even death. If one dies, so does the other. The mystic kingdom of Kalator was once peaceful, but evil hangs in the air of an ancient demon who now hunts vulnerable Kristella to end the threat of his ancient enemies known as the Chosen. In the darkest of towers hides another enemy who follows the ancient fiend and means to summon a foreboding beast from the hellish Underworld. As a long forgotten war resurfaces, the people will, as they always have, turn to The Chosen Hero, but Balthazar refuses to believe himself a Hero of Light and it seems his love for Kristella is the only light in the world plagued by Shadows. He must overcome his insecurities to find the courage to protect Kristella, defeat the predator that hunts him, known as the Shadow, and save his people from the certain ruin they will face from the spawn of hell.
Description- Adam’s grandparents don’t know what to do with him when he is rendered mute after a fire claims both his parents and his home. His elderly guardians consider it a miracle when the boy starts talking out of the blue after dreaming of a mysterious girl. Over the years, Adam records the reoccurring dreams of the girl in a journal, until they fade away and he leaves the town of Willow Brook to attend college and further his path to a writing career. Adam returns a 23 year old aspiring writer and begins working in his grandparents’ book store, while finishing his manuscript. He is startled when he crosses paths with the very girl from his dreams in reality. An upper class girl named Sarah, who is staying in Willow Brook for the summer. The two start a beautiful summer romance, in which they fall in love. But, the secret of the Dream Journal could threaten to tear them apart. Adam must somehow prove to Sarah that miracles exist and their love is real. The stakes are stacked against Adam and his heart can’t bear to lose the angel who saved him from his sorrow.
'Deep inside the grotto of my childhood innocence was a rational adult preparing to murder the sentry of youth'.
The Moss Wall is a story of a ten years old boy told by his adult self. The boy is victimised at school by the headmaster and most of his fellow pupils. He endures beatings, humiliation and taunts that teaches him hatred and revenge. When the local School Inspector threatens his mother, he is pushed to the edge and plans a calculated attack. What emerges from this is a story of love and hate, of mythical spirits and shadows of people who have sufferings far greater than his own. Enter the world of a ten years old boy in 1980 Northern Ireland and observe the innocence of logic and the subconscious reflection of a country bleeding to death.
Hi. I published my book on Tuesday, so it would be great to get some sales going (had 6 so far)!
It sounds like a simple assignment: track down the mysterious Star Wraith and put an end to its rampage.
But when Travis Archer and his team of inept soldiers find themselves the most wanted people in the galaxy – hounded by assassins, terrorists and their own military – they realise the Wraith is just a symptom of a much larger problem...
Finding war raging between one army intent on destroying an entire species, and another that will destroy the galaxy, Travis must put aside his fears and his past to uncover the truth behind it all. To become the hero he's always imagined.
The title is Oiorpata. It's actually two stories that intertwine into one book. The story of 57-J, a girl who is taken from her parents by the KGB and raised as one of the Oiorpata, women who are weapons for the State, and the story of Ben Gordon, CIA Station Chief in Moscow. The plot is sweeping, based on real events, and can be considered a warning of what could still happen today.
It's free right now. If you like action thrillers involving espionage, I think you might like Oiorpata.
I'd like to present my first published Kindle eBook. It's an erotic story called The Thrill of Defeat. The book tells the tale of a boy, a girl and an alpha male, and how far they are willing to go to live out their fantasies. I hope you enjoy it.
What if civilization came to an abrupt end... What if you were left on your own to survive... If everything had been taken from you would you risk your life to get it back or would you just attempt to hide in the shadows hoping the trouble would all go away? Heroes are not born, they are self made through their actions and deeds. Perhaps there are no more heroes. Perhaps this is the end for man. A handful of survivors are left to decide. http://www.amazon.com/SODIUM-Heroes-ebook/dp/B005ISZB4O
“What’s Playing at the Roxy?” is a comic novel written by Dr Robert Atkins and available now on Amazon Kindle. Robert is no relation to the diet guru of the same name.
The Roxy is a disused cinema in the red light area of Bordeaux - just the place for a failing church congregation. Howard Jenkins is the young Welshman who has been sent down from Paris to try to turn the situation round with the clock ticking down to closure.
As the deadline approaches, Howard and his homeless sidekicks Pascal and Paquito need to negotiate with a cast of eccentrics. A manipulative, power-crazed wine magnate, his feisty niece and his downtrodden musical daughter all come into the mix, putting Howard into compromising positions at every turn.
Some of the memorable set pieces include a French open-air market, a disastrous concert and a trip to Lourdes while the closing chapter is a cliff-hanger with an unpredictable outcome.
The author is a Welsh Baptist minister who worked for well over ten years in settings like the Roxy so it all comes to life thanks to his in-depth knowledge. Alongside the humour there are many insights into France and the French character.
“When I worked with the homeless in Toulouse,” says Robert, “one of my colleagues ran a church using a disused cinema and I realised this was a great setting for some strong characters and ludicrous situations. Similar incidents happened to me but fortunately never in quite the same way.”
