Mine's a fantasy story. This is part 1 of 5. 4 1/2 stars!

Jessie's Eyes - Abandoned

Abandoned as an infant and raising herself, Jessie learned a long time ago that you cannot trust anybody, but when she finds herself being chased by a man only she can see, that may have to change.

Something's wrong with her. Strange things are happening, and it always links with her temper. Her eyes are the key into the door that leads into her soul - and the fate of mankind.

***

Her hair blew in the wind and her hawk-like eyes stared at him, a stare harsh enough to kill anybody, or anything, in her path. With pure black skin and vacant black eyes, she seemed like nothing more than a three dimensional gloom. The only way to tell apart her hair and eyes were the thin white outlines of them. Her fingers were used as knives.
Daniel slowly walked toward her. She seemed terrified of others, even though most others were afraid of her. She pointed her knife-like fingers inches from his heart. The knives were now touching his shirt, breaking through it and starting to break through his skin. He leapt backwards, but the murkiness would easily follow him. Suddenly, a loud bang broke the silence, and the girl’s knives turned back into regular fingers, and she was gone.

This is an historical paranormal thriller.

BELLE OF THE CABAL

Summary: Society beauty Clarissa Roseville rules the glittering world of Regency London easily enough, but she would rather rule a kingdom. Eager for a royal match, the spoiled, willful girl has no time for two of her admirers, the soulful, enigmatic Nicholas and the lustful intriguer Augustine, brothers with a background as obscure as it is mysterious.

His passion for her overriding any scruples, Augustine ruthlessly pursues, wooing her with promises of power undreamed-of. Under his mysterious influence, Clarissa is transformed, her beauty positively supernatural. One glance can draw a man. One touch can make him hers. But the price is high. She is bound to Augustine forever.

And now, the sorcerer Augustine can glut his thirst for her lovely body, and use her to gain control over her lovers' minds. Together, they can rule an empire of enslaved souls. Only one obstacle stands between them and conquest - his own brother.

Armed with only his uncanny sensitivity, Nicholas matches wits with the dark forces gathering around them all. But how can he hope to save a woman given a thousand rich temptations in exchange for her soul?

Here is my first book

Charlotte ~ Pride & Prejudice Continues

When Charlotte Lucas married Mr Collins, she did not love him but had at least secured her future.
However, what price must she pay for that future? She once said she was not romantic, but how true is that now after almost one year of marriage?
Mr Collins is submissive in the extreme to his patroness, and his constant simpering, fawning and deference to the overbearing and manipulative Lady Catherine de Bourgh is sure to try the patience of a saint, or at least of Charlotte.
As Charlotte becomes part of Hunsford society, she discovers she is not the only one who has been forced to submit to the controlling and often hurtful hand of Lady Catherine.
She feels trapped and realises her need for love and affection. She is not as content as she once thought she would be. The easiest thing to do would be to maintain the peace and do as she is told. But as Charlotte witnesses the misery around her due to her inimitable neighbour, she must decide to remain as she is or to begin a chain of events that will change not only her life but also the lives of those around her in the village of Hunsford forever.
But...after all, doesn't every girl deserve a happy ending?

Dream Traveler

300,000 years from now, human spirits called Phelastians are finally making peace with ape-like creatures called Dwellers. Formality requires that a twenty-first century Earthling be present as witness to the treaty. A Phelastian travels back in time and recruits Whitmore Middle School’s newest student, Jamie Richards. When a Dweller overlord sabotages the celestial link connecting Jamie to her own world, she vanishes from the signing, crumbling the negotiations, and sending her on a series of mind-bending, alternate-reality adventures. Every time Jamie Richards falls asleep, she’s bounced through time and injected into possible futures. And all of these diverse futures lead to one horrifying conclusion; the end of everything. Can Jamie save trillions of lives, prevent a war that has already occurred, and stop herself from meeting her self, all while attempting to stabilize creation and find her way home?

When you learn that one of your prominent deacons is having series of affairs,
When you have a gay activist threatening to stage a protest in front of your church,
When your richest parishioner decides to stop paying his tithe to your church,
And when a fight breaks out in your church and shots are fired…
Naturally, you become an angry pastor.
Diary of an Angry Pastor is a humorous story of a pastor who wanted to transform the little black church he inherited from his father into a multi-racial, mega church. After so many challenges, this pastor realizes that leading a church was not going to be as easy as he had envisioned.

My book is all about laughter!

After many years in law enforcement, from a road officer in a mid-sized city on the west coast to detective, then on to Kosovo and Afghanistan as part of the International Police Program, I've got a lot of tales to tell!

This first book, A Warrant for Yourself, is the first in a series of three collections of short stories, all humorous, involving things that happened to me and things I did with my playful sense of humor.

The reviews thus far have been great. I had been posting these shorts on social networking sites one at a time over the past years and ended up developing a nice following of fans.

The first tale which you can read in the sample chapter involves the death of a 1000 pound crack dealer...and no, I'm not kidding about the weight!

Hope you enjoy!

Imagine waking up one morning and realizing the country you grew up in, wasn’t the country you thought you knew. Imagine losing your job, your possessions, and the safety of your home…all in a very small time period. Now imagine your closest friends, going through the same turmoil.

A Fairy for Bin Laden

http://amzn.com/B0088IBE3I

Excerpt: "Osama Bin Laden is dead, and unless you've been living under a rock, you know the story: the long search, the discovery of his hideout in Pakistan, the helicopter assault on the compound, the headshot, the quick burial at sea.

What you certainly don't know is that we brought him to ground with the help of a foot-tall fairy named Tinkerbelle."

When Army Lieutenent Peter Durrani arrives at his new and highly-classified posting, the drone operator and linguistic expert discovers that his new assignment -- "Micro Reconnaissance Interface Specialist" -- means management of a very special intelligence assest for the CIA and Army: a tiny, beautiful woman whose origins are shrouded in secrecy.

"A Fairy for Bin Laden" is a 6700-word chronicle of Peter and "Belle's" search for the world's most wanted terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, and the heart-pounding assault on his compound in Pakistan. The tale is an exciting, sexy, humorous and occasionally profane adventure -- and a magical, heartwarming love story.

EDGE OF OBLIVION

Ronald J Barber

During Earth’s long history, millions of different creatures have come and gone but did any comprehend the concept of extinction? Unlikely. So what is it like to be a species on the edge of oblivion with the intelligence to understand one’s dire predicament?
Ask Arrel. He knows. His is a world teeming with a new species of human, not overtly aggressive, more like a plague of rats stealing or destroying everything from their impoverished community. Others of his kind have already succumbed but his own people are resourceful enough to resist the tide that threatens to engulf them and when they find a cache of ancient learning the phrase “knowledge is power” was never more apt.
Can anyone bring the two species together and end the conflict? One person might but life has a habit of throwing up the unexpected and human nature can be such a destructive force.
Struggling to survive, Arrel’s people face a life of successes and failures, sometimes safe and secure, sometimes facing disaster but meeting each challenge with courage and ingenuity. It’s war of attrition but the numbers are not Arrel’s side. Can they survive and are there others of their kind somewhere in the world? If the answer is no then the consequences are too appalling to contemplate.

Mine never really picked back up to the pre Christmas levels. Before all the freebies tarted coming out I was selling three books a day, now I'm lucky if I get three a month.

Not sure if all these free books harmed the market or it's just an adjustment, time will tell.

Doh, posted this in the wrong thread. Still getting used to iPad. Dis regard this.
