The thing is, I said the review was helpful. Which it was. It's too bad someone disagrees with my pricing strategy. Not my problem. I'll be gone, and there won't be anything to lose anymore. No sales = no content.

I don't understand. What was objectionable to Amazon?

Yikes, there was no explanation?

I hope you at least try publishing on the other platforms--Nook, Kobo, Apple. They've all been very good for me, but I guess they're not as fabulous for fiction. Good luck, and I'm sorry you had such a bad experience! I had a bad experience with one book (I ended up just pulling it from Amazon but not the other sites), but it wasn't quite enough to make me leave. I was pretty mad, too, because it was a specialty cookbook that I spent a lot of time on (my own tested recipes, pictures, and anecdotes), and it was my best seller on Amazon. I'm glad I didn't leave, because sales are finally starting to pick back up.

I finally received an explanation, which I found in the spam box. KDP accused me of stealling content from one Jonathan Suarez, who basically screwed with my copyrights and told them he owned the content. Well, now I have unpublished everything, and KDP has lost me forever. I have replied to their accusation, and sent a copy of the whole thing to the ECR of KDP, with whom I have already had two phone calls. I am now going to submit a report both to the FTC and the FBI naming this Mr. Suarez as both a fraud and a content pirate, whoever the hell he thinks he is, and I am sending an email to Jeff Bezos AGAIN. I don't care what happens to the pittance KDP owes me, I am gone TODAY!!

What on earth are KDP doing? This character has already been caught publishing other copyrighted work, and they take YOUR work down because of him? You are a well established author for crying out loud.

I took a little look around. I think you ran into a Narcissist. You can go your whole life without that happening, and I think you were terribly unlucky here. I am so sorry you went through all of this, and Amazon really needs to have some way of spotting spurious copyright claims.

If you have the slightest suspicion this character is still targeting you, perhaps under another name, please say something on the forum. With any luck he'll move on to the next recipient of his munificence and copy their stuff instead, as a compliment. Their reality can change with the wind, and you might be left alone now.

I feel kinda sad for him too. No-one chooses to be born with that condition.

I hope you are still here! Look at the Accounts; he is complaining that his account has been BLOCKED. They are working to fix it for you, apparently.

Jonathan Suarez had ripped all sorts of content off the web and posted it as his. As of now, however, all his Kindle books are gone. Sorry he went after your story, and apparently told them the plagiarism went the other way! But I think they're wise to him now.

Amazon.com may not explain to you why you are blocked.

Yet you already know the answer.

Do you not?

And if not.

Make your case.

To them.

Or right here -

Right now.

It's an open forum.

That's one of the few things you can't blame KDP for ; )

Did you mean to direct this to someone else? My account wasn't blocked.

Mango,

Yes, he did. Many people in the KDP forum click the reply button on the last msg of the thread because it is less of a hassle than scrolling to the top of the page to click the general reply button. It's a frequent and accepted occurrence in the KDP forum. I just learned about it yesterday, myself, and now that I know, it was easy to get used to.
