ANYONE ELSE SEE A DRASTIC DROP IN SALES?

Something is going on. My sales have absolutely evaporated. I sold 20 books on Saturday, 10 on Sunday and Monday, and today 4. Normally I sell around 15 or 16 per day. I know it's not an exact science, but it feels as though reporting is screwed up again. It seems to happen every time the new month comes in. Anyone else having similar experiences?

I've been wondering the same thing. Sales have been very strong, but so far today, I've sold just 7 books.

I went from 1880 books or so in September, 1625 October to 810 in November. December 72 so far. At this rate I will be lucky to sell 800 books this month.

Reporting is correct. Read Russell Blake's postings. Amazon has stacked the deck against the Indie.

Tell me about it!

I am still looking at the brown bar of shame. I haven't gone this long without an ebook sale on Amazon in 15 months.

Fortunately, I AM selling paperbacks and audiobooks at a decent clip, and some ebooks on other platforms, so all is not lost.

But criminy, five days of brown bar? In December?

Don't feel bad Injun, over my 25 titles I'm down about 40% from 4 months ago. Think I'll have to go back to selling my body here in Vanuatu for income.

I have not been here nearly long enough to comment on the 'stacked against the indie' business, but as for short term drop in sales- Sat was good, Sun was great, Mon was dismal. Tues has been better, back to good, but not great. I am wondering- I know Mon, Tues, Weds are popular days for free promo days- could a flood of freebies on those days detract from sales? Just curious if anyone has noticed some days of the week tend to be better or worse than others, I haven't been selling long enough to tell.

How many yams do you get for an hour of pleasuring the local ladies? I was once offered a role in a porn movie. They wanted to pay me $10 per inch, per hour. I figure that $5.00 an hour was not enough.

Only $5? You know if you shave it looks bigger. You could have squeezed them for $5.50 maybe even $6. :P

I don't sell a ton of books but my sales have disappeared this month. My promos and articles are consistent. Sales are not.

Yes! My sales have been steadily declining the past few months while my sales with other distributors are climbing. What's going on? Here it is the 5th of the month and I'm still looking at NO sales here!

Mine are creeping up, through a combination of writing more and marketing more.

Down, down, down... Painful isn't it. Well, we can blame all sorts of things, but my guess is books are not that hot for Christmas this year. Anybody know if the new readers are selling well? Maybe people have switched to Apple devices this year. If that's true, the exclusive books idea isn't working very well. Oh well, back to work for me.
