I've spent the last three day's re-editing a book, historical fiction book. I think I've worn out my proof readers, and am looking for someone who likes to read to give me their opinion, my proof readers are a bit shy about telling me what they see wrong. I don't want an edit, just a proof reader. I'll give an email if someone comes forward, and send them a word .doc file. If they will email me back their opinion.
I've looked on the net, but most say it will take three months. This book is 27,000 words.

A good backup check, once the book is published, is to have your Kindle read it back to it.

It would if I had a kindle. I've tried different voice readers with no success. Really, I think I'll print it out and give my two-year-old great grand daughter a red crayon.

MS Word has a feature that will read the text out loud to you. I forget how to find and turn it on, but you can Google it.

I sent your query to my friend, Ana Edwards, who said she would be interested. Her parents owned a school and she was highly skilled in english, structure, and grammar. her email address is anamandm@gmail.com if you'd like to contact her. I had her proof my book for me.
