Sales rank in Canada... why don't I have one?

I used to, when the first two books sold (a few days ago). And then it disappeared. I got two more sales, and still ... no ranking at all. Looks like I haven't sold a single copy. I have another book with a whopping 1 sale (from a week ago)--that also shows no sales rank at all.

Another book with one sale (but different publisher imprint) has a sales rank, in the 40,000's (and the sale was from sometime in December).

Either someone's outselling you or it's the dreaded glitch. Things are so glitchy around here right now (reports down, tags gone, sales gone, then all coming back) I would bet it's the latter.

Hmm.... I've got one from one sale a few days ago. Must be yet another glitch.

Well, outselling shouldn't make any difference. It would just mean that my ranking would be lower--not that it wouldn't appear at all. Even if you sell one book and you're ranked in the millions, you still have a rank.

If it's a glitch, it's hitting two books, and it's been quite a few days.

Sorry, for some reason I assumed you meant a top 100 list, not overall ranking. Perhaps it's gone the was of tags the last few days...in and out and in and out. Wish Amazon would get it together!

I actually was ranked in the 30's or around there in erotica, with only two sales. I guess that's not a very crowded category in Canada! Everyone's out skiing, or something. But no, I meant the entire ranking is gone. And on one book, it never came.

I have no idea, but I probably don't have one either as I haven't sold a single book there. Keep your chin up, I'm sure you will have a complete blockbuster there soon! Xx
